We went at dinner time and it was pretty busy. Some things at the salad bar were empty. I was disappointed that they did not have shredded carrots, peas, chopped black olives or baby corn for salad toppings. Also, none of the salad dressings are labeled, so I just picked what looked like Italian.

Even though the food was always mostly subpar to me, my kids always loved golden corral. And I was happy that they would all find something they liked with no arguing. For a reasonable price. Well, no more. Yesterday was our last visit. Firstly, after the drink, anyone over 12 that isn’t a senior citizen pays over $21. The food is still moderate, but the little flavor the food HAD has disappeared. My kids picked at their food, but everything was either dried out or bland. $120 later and all we got was stomach aches. 3 stars because our server was great and the salad bar and fried shrimp are still really good. (If you can eat $21 worth of fried shrimp and salad, you’re good to go )

Surprisingly, the food was not bad. There is something for everyone. Our server was friendly and kept our drinks full. We happened to be seated near a group that was extremely loud but they were enjoying their fellowship.

I haven’t been to Golden Corral since pre-COVID, and outside of the price and the dessert attendant, we had a great meal and left full and satisfied! So let me break it down a bit… The food all looked like it had just been put out (so no old food sitting there), and they were constantly refilling dishes. Our waitress was Jass, and she was *fabulous*! Quick to refill our drinks and bring more plates out. She was so good, I approached the manager afterward to let him know. Our table was clean. The buffet was clean. The only downside was the cost… for 2 of us, it was over $40, not including the tip, and the dessert attendant didn’t seem to be having a good day. I saw children waiting to asking children and she didn’t respond and when my sister asked about replenishing a dish, she was ignored (unlike the children, she didn’t give up and I helped the children get bowls for ice cream). We will go again but not with the whole family just because of the cost and I left way to full to do it often!

I haven’t dined at a buffet since covid, eating here wasn’t bad and most families were cognizant of the shared atmosphere that comes with a buffet. The food turn over was slow for half of the selection due to the amount of patrons. The items that were continuously refilled were lukewarm at best. Staff seemed to be stretched thin our cups were consistently left empty. I had to flag down waitresses who then flagged down our waitress instead of simply making the drink themselves. The few plates we had piled up quickly. All in all, if you still like American buffets go, there’s not much wrong the place was clean and most of the food was hot. As for me I’m good with ordering a 3 course meal if I absolutely need apps, entre, and dessert. Plus I paid 25 bucks which imo is high for a buffet.
