First time at a buffet since Covid. Restaurant was clean and buffet well stocked. Nice selection and food was fresh. Very busy for lunch but never had to wait for something I wanted to be filled. Waitress was friendly. Good experience all around.

This location is how the majority needs to be, food wise. Stocked, plentiful, attentive, courteous, etc. Back home they don’t put everything out because they don’t have the room this place does, but instead rotates various dishes daily. Not here. Everything is out and in abundant quantities. They even take the time to make a loaded/dressed (cheese, bacon, tomato) salad available! The only place lacking was desserts, but still plenty to satisfy the void.

My friend and I came in for lunch today. My friend had never been to GC before. We started with salads. She was impressed with the variety of selections. She had a bowl of salad, I had a plate of salad. Everything in this course was fresh and delicious. She then had pizza and the fish. I had the rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, & pot roast. She enjoyed her selections, but wished she had hot sauce at the table. Everything I had was delicious except the pot roast. It was extremely dry, to the point I couldn’t eat it. . She then went for 2 more pieces of fish & some rotisserie chicken. She found out you can ask for hot sauce. She really enjoyed that! To top everything off, I had a bowl of chocolate ice cream and she had vanilla. Our waiter James was great.

The Food at this location had a serious pitfall. For the first time at a Golden Corral I experienced raw chicken being served which was only found when another customer ripped it open. The employees them proceeded to throw the pieces out but not throw out the chicken which was beneath the raw pieces. This does not make me confident in how the chicken is cooked at this location as it may be a hazard. As for the Atmosphere and Service, this location had a wonderful staff of servers who were very responsive to cleaning, orders, and refills. The only negative were some cooking staff such as the one mentioned previously with the raw chicken. The atmosphere is as to be expected, however the music was at a nice level to create a cook ambiance in the restaurant.

This last time that we went five days ago, not the same day we took the picture of the picture from my last review is still attached. I wish it would just give us a separate review but it doesn’t. Anyways, this last time that we went everything was too dry and I chipped a tooth on the chicken. The fried chicken was so dry and the chicken strips. Even the shrimp was pretty dry. If it was fried, it was pretty overcooked. My fiance said the bourbon chicken was even overcooked. Everything else tasted good that we had. I was really wanting some fried chicken with my steak and shrimp but that’s okay. Hopefully another day that we show up, they’ll have better fried stuff. Not worth the price we paid this last time. We was pretty disappointed because we hardly get to come out as a family with our toddler on a good day. He actually wanted to try eating but couldn’t because it was so dry and even too hard for him to chew. We did waste a bit and we could tell the server seemed disappointed in us but it was just dry. We wanted to complain to the server but we know the server can’t really do anything about the cook’s not being able to cook.

For one, I have missed buffet. Even though it was 18 miles away to get here it was worth it. When I was there dinner rush was just starting and it showed. Very busy but the staff got us seated and our drinks quickly. The food looked amazing, me and family use to eat at the golden corral in middletown but the food at this one just looks and taste better. Honestly 9/10 and the only thing bad is the distance. Here’s hoping they open up more golden corrals
