I’ve been to many Golden Corrals and this one seems to be one of the older ones. They didn’t have my liver and onions. The selection of food is basic. Not bad, but not exceptional. Not a lot of people there at noon. Not a good sign.

They had excellent food on this visit. The buffet serving areas are mostly face one direction, I prefer this, as it makes it easier to see all they have. We had a wonderful waitress, making sure our glasses were full.

This golden coral has been the worst so far . The service is terrible and what can you expect from a rude manager . We paid for “premium dinner” and there were only 10 different trays of food very limited . The food was awful we got a steak and it tasted and smelled like dirty soap water!! The macaroni was flavor less,bread was hard, broccoli was yellow,buffalo wings were sour it was also very unsanitary,old plates piled in a corner the whole time I was there ,different food mixing dirty serving spoons . We spoke to the manager about a refund before we served any plates and he said they charge for entering the building which was ridiculous in my opinion.

This review is specifically for the Universal City, TX. location. Lately the hot food is dry and cold, specially the soups, I asked the manager if they have fresh soup and he said no today until tomorrow, it was 3:00 pm., the potatoes on the beef stew were very old, dark colored . Last time it was a hair on the dressing, I told to the waitress and one of them removed the hair with a napkin and leaves the dressing on the salad bar. The steaks looks old and tasted like liver, they saved in a container with water and just warm it. There is several things wrong in this place. The restrooms are dirty . Very poor management. This things happened the last four times I’ve been there. Definitely we are not going back to this location.

I always Enjoy a little bit of everything from GC The Pot Roast is always Amazing and Love their Salad Bar as well. I have only had one issue with Golden Corral was for them to keep Small Children Away from the Buffet. I have had to ask the waitress to let the Mom know to keep her little boys hands out of the Food and Salad Bar and I kindly asked them to Replace the Salad On the All You can Eat Bar. Other than that I have enjoyed Golden Corral.
