Kindred Roots Cafe
Committed a cardinal sin by using FETTUCCINE noodles for LO MEIN. That alone would make me never come back. The brown sauce was somehow watery and slimy at the same time. If the Lo-mein was stir fried, (as it should be) it was done so incorrectly. It looks like everything was microwaved together. Soggy and gray. They also packed my food so tight, that a corner of a food box pierced the styrofoam soup cup and drained all the broth into the bottom of the take-out bag.

My family and I have eaten here many times since we moved to Lowell 7 years ago. It did change names at one point in time but it’s still the same restaurant. We love this place! Always good food and the portions are very substantial! It seems like a dive when you walk in, but you know what they say about those places….. Great food! Side from all the typical Asian dishes you can also get some really tasty snacks good as well! In fact, one of my favorite thing to get there is pancakes! They are big (about 9 or 10 inches!), and they’re thick and fluffy. Have also had the cheeseburger, and again, it’s rather large! The average person will not be disappointed coming here.

Food is pretty good, at least what ive had. Place is pretty run down though and the prices are a bit high for whag you get. If things were like 2 dollars cheaper it’d be an easy 5 stars, but getting an entree and dumplings bends you over for like 19 dollars and, just honestly, owch.

Food was ok but nothing to brag about. It was served hot. Egg drop soup? Only had cabbage and a couple of carrot pieces and very little taste. Egg roll was crispy but had little flavor. Would I go back? Probably not. Food was very reasonably priced.

Brought the family here for dinner. There was 6 of us. We always hear bad thing about this place. DON’T LISHEN TO OTHERS. Go check out the place for yourself. The food was delicious! The service was great. The Place smelt good and was the cleanest I’ve seen the place.

Was really hoping for a new Chinese restaurant opinion in town. This won’t be it. Should have guessed how it would be by the bad spelling on their Facebook page. Unless you’re super skinny don’t try to sit in a booth. The decor is classic run down truck stop. If you like overly bland food and cockroaches as your dining guests this is the place for you.
