I usually don’t believe it when I see a 4.9 star restaurant but you can about this place. Really awesome hummus, a little thicker than I generally like but it rocked. The falafel were truly “golden”, crispy on outside and soft on inside and delicious too. Had a superb side salad that was a work of art. So happy to have this place in the neighborhood!

This is not only the best Mediterranean food in town, it is some of the best food you can get in this city altogether. The falafel is bright and vibrant with herbs and spices, the meats are juicy, succulent and flavorful, the salads are so fresh! Everything is amazing here.

The owner of this restaurant was a delight, very attentive & kind. The food was phenomenal! We had the vegetarian sampler plate & all of the veggies were high quality, the flavors well balanced, the sauces decadent & flavorful, and great portion sizes. The gyro meat was way less fatty than I’ve experienced in other restaurants, and the salad that it came with was incredible. The pita was huge & had a great texture. The baklava was super decadent & tasty. Absolutely give this place a try & enjoy the great food and atmosphere!

Awesome little gem! We ordered 3 different sandwiches to go and all 3 were fantastic. The man running the counter was very nice, great service. The hot tea was amazing, I have never had better tea in my life. A must visit for sure!

It is not the most sophisticated interior design. This is actually being generous with the words. Besides the interior, everything else is excellent. Food is absolutely outstanding. It was the best humus I ever tasted. Lamb was very good. Cooked just right. Highly recommend asking for their garlic sauce. Service is good and very friendly. Prices are very reasonable too. Overall, it felt like a very nice neighborhood type small restaurant where most patrons know everybody by name.

(Updated as of 3/19/2023) About a year ago, Golden Falafel opened its doors unbeknownst to the owners of its success. And about a year ago, I predicted this restaurant will be successful when it is found since it is hidden in one of the many plaza businesses. But, I have great news to report: my daughter and I stopped in there around seven-ish on a weekday and people were waiting to be seated. It turns out that the restaurant was featured in the Denver Post’s Life & Culture series called “Hidden Gems.” When we were there, there was one two-table seat available so we were lucky to sit and observe the mad rush for Golden Falafel’s delectable Middle Eastern food.

While Mediterannean restaurants in Denver take a vacation from flavor, Golden Falafel remind us how food should be prepared. Owner is also the head chef and clearly takes pride in his food. Treats guests like they’re actually guests! Offered me mint tea while I waited for my takeout. And so surprised when I returned home; never seen such presentation in a styrofoam box! He dusted the edges of hummus with alternating pinches cumin and sumac, and garnished the salad with a layer of pickled veg. Used quality full grain rice without loads of salt like other places serving fake flavor. Babaganoush was earthy and the falafel cooked to perfection. Only wish it had come with a few wedges of lemon on the side, but otherwise greatly pleased. Looking forward to my next visit:)

Unlike many other Middle Eastern restaurants where the food is dry and tasteless, Golden Falafel is full of spice and flavor! The falafel were fresh and the lentil soup was delicious.
