Food was decent but I got there about 4:45 and it was before the rush hour and some of the food wasn’t fresh but the foid that was fresh was good I enjoyed the Jalapeño Chicken Crab Ragoons and eggrolls the most

Overall, Golden Phoenix is a great place. We’ve ordered several times for take out, and been there for the buffet once before, all without incident. Unfortunately, during our latest visit (4/30/23), both my husband and I experienced food poisoning symptoms after having the buffet. The food TASTED wonderful – nothing giving any warning. The only thing that hubby & I ate alike was the General Tso’s, so I’m fairly certain that was the culprit. Since hubby ate only a small amount, his symptoms were very mild, but mine was more severe. It was MY first experience with f.p., and NOT one I care to repeat, so I can’t say we will be back. The service was IMPECCABLE as always and one of the reasons we’ve always liked the place.

The buffet is very good, but tends to be chicken-centric. Wish they had more vegetable. Because of space, entrees are repetitive day-to-day and I’ve been a regular customer for 10 years. Dine-in or take out menu dishes are really the way to go and I wish more customers would try this option. It’s cheaper and plenty of food. The owner and waiters have hearts of gold and one often adds a Chinese phrase to my Ni hao or shih-shih that I can never remember, lol. My favorite restaurant in town.

The lady that owns it, is the sweetest, friendliest person….if you want to be reminded of how customer service used to be, this is the place. Very clean, and there is a great selection of food and dessert.

I did not think this is worth 13 dollars a person as it was less than mediocre quality. The waitress was awesome though and so are the workers and owner here. But to charge the price they charge is ridiculous inflation or not.

Great place and friendly staff. Great buffet and even better made-to-order menu! There are plenty of options. I decided to try something different and went with Mongolian Pork. I was Not disappointed. They aren’t stingy with the portion sizes either! I highly recommend.
