Every so often I go here if I need a quick bite. But lately the food has gotten worse ordered some orange chicken and it was mostly breading. Fried rice is kind of lame too. It’s a shame I used to love this place.

Don’t order a large Chow Mein here, unless you don’t have the noodles with the gravy! The bag of noodles they give with a large Chow Mein is RIDICULOUS!!! Its the same bag as the crunchy noodles they give you for the soup. Go to China Star or somewhere else where they give you the old fashioned LARGE bag of Chow Mein noodles that SHOULD come with a large Chow Mein!!!! The picture I have uploaded is the Large Chow Mein from CHINE STAR on President Ave. I don’t have one from Golden River because I didn’t take one last time I ordered Chow Mein from them, trust me, you will be disappointed. Not to mention how it basically causes you to spend more money to buy few extra bags to be enough for the Large Gravy!

This place does not get enough credit… I order from them frequently (delivery), the food has always been so delicious with steam still coming out of the box. Cooked and delivered in a very reasonable time. Every meal tastes made with fresh ingredients. I’ve ordered many of the spicy meals off the menu including different levels of spice ranging from hot to light spice all being perfect at every level. Very much recommend trying if you have not yet .. I promise you will not be disappointed

First time I’ve gotten stale chow neon noodles. Please Throw out that old batch and get a fresh mix in the kitchen like you usually do. We expect better quality from you so this isn’t a typical issue. Will obviously come back soon, just deliver the quality goods please. Thanks!

Great food! I’ve tried over 15 items from their menu and it’s all great. From their Hunan dishes, to the Garlic Chicken or Shrimp dishes, the Revolutionary diet (trio ; chicken , scallop and shrimp with steamed veggies). Their garlic sauce is the best. They have the BEST hot and sour soup. My little one and I love their House Lo-Mein. Delivery is always quick and always hot. I could go on but you get it! Always my families get together take out spot!

The food is decent but the customer service is absolutely horrible The lady on the phone yells at me because I can’t understand what she was saying I asked her to repeat herself she screams on the phone like that was supposed to help me understand her deep accent they forgot to put things that I ordered in my bag not to mention it took them an hour to get to my house by the time he got there the food was cold Don’t waste your money or your time not worth it

The food was absolutely AMAZING, and the service is superb as well. Every time I have to choose between Golden River and any other Chinese restaurant in MA, I will choose Golden RIver. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone so you can all try out the deliciousness that is Golden River. 5/5, would definitely return in the future for some more amazing food.
