I am huge steak aficionado and love trips to Vegas. That being said oddly this was my first visit to the legendary classic Golden Steer. I had no idea how awesome it was. The history, the food, the service was all outstanding. Our waitperson Eric was amazing. I literally can’t wait to come back next trip. Thanks, Eric, for making this a special top shelf evening!

I was super excited to try out this iconic place. They did not disappoint for the most part. The decor is amazing. The staff are incredible. They were super attentive to our requests and needs. We ended up having to walk to get here on time and they took care of us and did not rush us at all. The wine list is impressive as well as other cocktail options. We chose to do the steak and lobster deal for 2. We had wedge salads – all dressings are house made and delicious. We picked twice baked potatoes and broccoli as our sides. Very satisfying meal. The steak was a bit tough for my liking but it was cooked as requested- medium rare. We will definitely be back.

Original Vegas steakhouse frequented by the Rat Pack. Old fashioned decor and pictures of the stars. Some booths are named after who used them. Food was excellent, portions are generous, steak was all it should be, tasty perfectly cooked with a great crust. Mushroom, creamy potatoes and mac & cheese sides were all really delicious. Long wine list with reasonable choices by the glass. Service was good and attentive. All in all worth the trip away from the Strip.

The history of this place is very cool. Watching the guy make the homemade Caesar salad, also very interesting if you didn’t know how it’s made. It was tasty.

The moment you step through the door you know you are going to have a great time. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere warm and friendly. The food? The food is to die for. I can’t recommend the tableside Caesar Salad enough. It was delicious. We had steak and lobster tail for mains and three sides. Baked potato, creamed spinach and asparagus. We wanted for nothing and our glasses were never empty. An absolute must visit when in Vegas.

Love the atmosphere. That old Vegas feel. The history of the restaurant is everywhere. The waiter gave a small speech to our section talking about the history. The service was very good. The food was good but not GREAT. The seafood cold tower appetizer was well overpriced for what was included. I do wish we had not ordered this. The steak had good flavor but did have a bit more gristle than a higher end steak should have. The baked potato was big and loaded well. The Mac and cheese was good but not anything special. We had the “Golden Steer cappuccino” and cheesecake for dessert. Both were fine. There just wasn’t a single item I would write home about. At a high end place like this, there should be something to truly fall in love with. I forgot, we also shared a wedge salad and it was very good. Love the ambiance, but would probably only return for a wedge salad and try the pasta next time.

There’s a reason Golden Steer has been around 65years!! The service was top tier! Lo made a great cocktail. Everything tasted so good and came out really fast. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The broccoli cooked perfectly. Probably one of the biggest lobster tails I’ve ever had.

We had the opportunity to experience one of the most iconic steak houses in Vegas at the Golden Steer. The atmosphere and the nostalgia in this restaurant is enough to make anyone want to keep coming back. We arrived a little early to our reservation so we enjoyed a cocktail at the bar. It’s definitely in a very unsuspecting strip mall area a few minutes off of Las Vegas Blvd. I can only imagine what this place was like and it’s hay day! What a time to be alive! The bartenders were not overly friendly. They got us a drink, and that was that. We were lucky enough to get a cozy booth at the mayors table. Our servers were both very excellent. I wish they would’ve told us a little bit more about the history of the place, they did share the back door area where the mob would come in and out without being seen, which was cool but I did notice some other servers going above and beyond. The food was absolutely fantastic. I will say the Cesar salad was not life-changing for us. The older gentleman that has been there for a very long time may need to retire. It was only after he gave us the bananas, foster table side, and we tipped him that he had any kind of personality at all. Otherwise, I actually found him to be quite rude and uncomfortable as we tried to make conversation. I had the steak and lobster, my significant other had the steak and crab legs. Everything was cooked to perfection and very very good. It’s definitely worth experiencing at least once in your life. I would definitely recommend.
