I love this place, best Chinese in Wilkesboro! But let me explain why I gave 4 stars. This place takes a LONG time to get your food ready. The quality of the food gives them 5 stars, but I took 1 star away for the long wait times. I’m still willing to drive past another Chinese restaurant to get to this one. I definitely recommend, just be prepared to wait for it.

I have been going to golden wok for a really long time and I have never been disappointed! their food is always FRESH and is always filled with flavor. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant that severs good food then this is the ONE. I admit they have a bit of a wait time but it’s definitely worth the wait!

Solid 4.5+ place to eat for sure! The chicken wings were some of the best I’ve had, large portions of chicken fried rice (although I wish it had a bit more chicken), and the egg rolls were delicious and fresh. We recently moved here so this is the first time trying it. We will certainly be back!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat in wilkesboro. The employees always so polite and go beyond for their customers. They know I always order the steam dumplings, which is a must try! Great food with big quantities! I’ll stay a loyal customer to golden wok!

As long as we live in Wilkesboro and they remain open, we will only ever get our Chinese food from Golden Wok. The food is consistently great and the owner is the nicest person around. She always recognizes me. She even asks me how my mom is, who has visited from time to time, so you know she cares about her customers enough to really get to know them. She also goes above and beyond to correct mistakes. Yes, the wait time may be long, but the food and service are worth it.
