ABSOLUTELY the BEST fried chicken I have ever had! She makes it so very close to my mother’s fried chicken, it’s unbelievable! Great service too! The rest of the meal was delicious too! My Aunt just LOVES the Brussels sprouts served there and she was thrilled to be able to get them today! Scrumptious meal…well worth the wait!

Good food. The wait for the food was excessive, but understandable, since we did have a larger group of people to accommodate and fried chicken takes some time to cook. However, the service in general was awful. No one checked on us while we were waiting, and glasses sat empty on our table during most of the visit. Also, we did not get all of the rolls that were supposed to come with our meal. They said they were “running low” and needed to be able to “spread them out”. We had to split rolls between the people at our table, and then watch as they gave everyone at the tables that came in after us all of their rolls instead.

The salad that comes with the meal was to be shared between three adults and one child, it was quite literally 3 bites a piece. The rolls came well after the main course. But the main meal itself was hands down grandma’s recipie. A purely home cooked meal in a home setting served the same way. The chicken was great and sides were perfect. The coconut creme pie tasted chalky, and texture was chalky as well. Our grandmother’s had different recipies on that pie definitely. Odd hours, open on every other sunday.

I absolutely love Goldie’s the food is amazing. I have moved to Texas and was lucky enough to be home last week and had fried chicken dinner on Sunday. It was so good and I of course ate to much.
