The brisket is superb, very tender with great caramelized edges. They have real sugar soda and a great coffee bar. The owner is a great guy who is great to talk too. I normally come here once a week to enjoy the food.

Finally made it to Gomez BBQ today! I got to have the Sunday breakfast sandwich a day early … triple decker breakfast sandwich with such amazing flavor and a cold brew with vanilla … yum yum yum. My only wish would be living closer. For the dude who said the portions were small well this sandwich was massive. Maybe he is used to poor quality food at a fast food joint. I love a small business with a big ❤️ any day of the week. Anyway can’t wait to be back on the east side to try lunch.

Reasonably priced and well made. The ramen was excellent but has limited availability. The pickled onions were great too. The single sauce is very much an Indiana super sweet sauce but it’s an Indiana restaurant so that’s probably not a problem for most folks. Still, more sauce options would be an easy way to expand the flavors. The owner/chef is really cool. We chatted for a bit while eating and he’s super nice. Definitely worth checking out.

No stars for service, leading to frightful atmosphere. My boyfriend and I decided to try a new place to dine after church and were interested in this restaurant due to its circulation on Groupon. In walking in, the cashier was unwelcoming and visibly angry we were Groupon customers. He went on to slam the menu down on the brunch side after we attempted to order a pulled pork sandwich that drew us in from the Groupon photo. I went on to ask the cashier what he’d recommend to try, and he vouched for the brisket breakfast sandwich. After my boyfriend returned from the restroom, he was excited to see they offered breakfast and stated “thats dope!” the server then replied angrily, “what you say?!” continuing his scary, dead stare looks. We then decided to leave and request our money back from Groupon; horrified at the terrible experience we received just trying to order. We pray the server and the institution learn to be more welcoming and less racial profiling.

I used Gomez for catering a party for roughly 15 people. I should note that this was somewhat last minute, but they came through like a champ and the food was a big hit. I wouldn’t change anything about the order – it was that good and I’m secretly glad I got most of the leftovers.

Fantastic addition to the near east side! Smoked brisket was soo tender and juicy. The smoked tofu and the pulled pork were also delicious. Carry-out was super fast. Service was beyond friendly and welcoming! They have homemade sodas and to-go beers in cans for carry-out, too. Small dine-in area but great atmosphere and people.

My wife found Gomez BBQ on a Google search. We were needing a catered order for an event. We visited in wanting to try the food beforehand. Holly was working, and was friendly, knowledgeable and took really good care of us. The sampler plate and chicken quesidilla were excellent.

I would consider this a donation… sandwich was mainly fatty, lack seasoning, charred BBQ taste was absent and to include sauce on both dishes(rib tips and brisket). Truly disappointing to drive for a disappointment. Nothing good about these dishes worth mentioning.

This was a good surprise. The bbq was good, the portion size was nice and it was affordable. The location isn’t ideal in my opinion and I think they could do well as there own stand alone restaurant if they really wanted to. There’s some unique sodas to try there as well. Overall this is a win and definitely worth checking out if you happen to be in the area.

Really cool place to stop and check out. Area itself wasn’t my favorite, but once I was inside it was great. I met the owner and we chatted for a bit. Great guy and you can tell he knows what he is doing in the kitchen. Price was good. Food was good.
