Best beef fajita I ever reciecved from a restaurant. My group enjoyed their food. It is rare today to get that type of service. 4 on the service as took forever to get our food ordered. I will be visiting soon, and if that changes the review will be updated.

This was the best Mexican food that we have had in a long time. The service was excellent. The food came out quick and was hot. My husband and I always take leftovers home to eat later, but it was so good that neither one of us had any to take home. There were quite a few people there when we arrived around 10:30am and people kept on coming in. We will definitely be back.

We will not be going back to this restaurant again! The service was terrible! About a month ago when my Wife and I went for the first time. The service and food was great then. But this time was totally different! Manager and waiter were both rude and unprofessional! Pineapple margaritas that my wife and I ordered were the worst margaritas we ever had! Taste like old dishwater and hot sauce! It was disgusting!! When we tried to order two more different drinks, the sorry waiter refused to take our order for two more drinks! He said they were only serving those sorry pineapple margaritas! But there was a sign at the entrance that clearly said they were serving different types of margaritas on special! Clearly this trifling waiter didn’t bother to read this sign! We were there for 45 minutes before this sorry waiter took our food order! Yet they served other tables with White customers who came in after us!! By now my wife had enough of this blatant racism!! We paid for those rotten drinks that we only took one sip out of and left! I was talking to another Black customer before we left. I told her how lousy the service was! She showed more concern and sympathy for our situation than that sorry manager did! That sorry manager didn’t do one blasted thing to make the situation right! Clearly he lacks customer service training! My Wife and I ended up having a wonderful dinner at El Jarrito in Ruston! The food, customer service, and drinks were A+ wonderful! We will definitely go back to El Jarrito again. But we will never ever go back to Gonzales in Ruston, LA!

We have dined at Gonzales Mexican restaurant several times. Every time we have had great service and the food is always delicious. The hot sauce is addicting! Great jobs folks… Bravo and we wish you much success in the coming years.

Decor is nice. Chips & queso were good. We got Birria tacos, which were good, but sure did seem small. It apparently didn’t come with sides, so we ordered pico, which we got charged $4.99 for, and beans, which were $2.50 extra. The house margarita is good, and the mango margarita was really good. But, they were really small, cost $7.99 for regular & $8.99 for mango, and are not two for one. The waitress was attentive.

BEST CHIPS AND SALSA! We have enjoyed the Homer location for years and have been super pleased with both visits to this new Ruston location. Great food, easy parking, fun decor, friendly wait staff, quick service, and reasonable prices. Kid friendly. Handicap parking conveniently located.

Absolutely delicious. Chimichanga is a little bit smaller than most places I get them. The grilled chicken is the best I’ve ever had. We’ve been twice now and both times have been wonderful. The guacamole, queso, and salsa are all perfect! The places leans on the louder side with concrete floors and open ceiling. Some acoustical panels would be a good addition. Overall, 10/10. Definitely check this place out.

1st time to visit Gonzalez, already looking forward to next time! Perfect chile relleno, good salsa & sopapillas (although I was surprised they were topped with regular, instead of powdered, sugar), & excellent service. ¡Gracias por una experiencia maravillosa!
