Nice casual setting surrounded by the vibes of Carlsbad. We had three Ramen bowls. The black was garlicky and yummy. The tonkatsu was lighter miso broth with hints of ginger. And finally, the red was spicy with a thick hardy and cream like silky texture. 3 yummy bowls eaten and definitely a must try for Ramen enthusiasts.

Hype = truth. Gonzo is all you hope for and more. The food is absolutely outstanding, and the atmosphere is unique and extraordinary. Full disclosure: you might have to wait an extended period of time to get to the counter to order, but it’s well worth it. The fried chicken and gyoza were so flavorful and delicious. The Gonzo red ramen hit all the right notes. There are a lot of terrific Japanese treats as well. The decor is very dynamic walls filled with classic Japanese ads. Make this a must stop for deliciousness. And if you hit it on a rainy day, all the better.

Love this place it has such a cool vibe and the ramen is delicious. The experience was pretty cool you wait in line to order and by the time you order they have a table ready for you. I don’t usually like this but the experience was different and executed well. You can chat with your group while you wait and they even serve beer while you wait in line. nice touch! By the time you get your food you’re hungry and and ready to eat like I said it’s delicious!

Some of the best Ramen and curry I’ve had in San Diego county. The kimchi was crunchy and perfectly spicy, went well with the chicken karaage. Wish I lived closer I would go often. We went on a Monday afternoon and it was medium busy so I’m sure this place gets busy. Order at the counter and they’ll bring it out to you.
