Morale of the story: the menu and prices of the food are available to see before ordering. I see a lot of reviews for Good Belly complaining of the prices, and normally, I would complain about it too. However, the reason being that they want to provide a living wage to their staff really hits home with me, as my first couple jobs were in restaurants for next to nothing wages. One suggestion to Good Belly: maybe add the option of 2 sides to save money and still enhance the customer service. The chips were great, but I would’ve loved to have gotten potato salad or pasta salad instead. Just a thought.

The Corned Beef and Pastrami Ruben was Fantastic!!! My lunch mates had the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Turkey Melt and both said they were great and full of flavors. Highly reccommend.

This place is truly exceptional. My girlfriend is from Cleveland and it’s been impossible for her to get Corned Beef or Pastrami that even holds a candle to what’s available up North. But she was truly floored by the quality. This is now the bar for true New York style deli food in Louisville.

Fairly new Deli offering Jewish Deli delights Had the corned beef reuben (wanted pastrami, all sold out ). Large sandwich, moist, flavorful meat and delicious toppings on toasted rye. Potato lakes, crisp and tender. The BEST garlic chip pickles (bought extra). Super service, staff attentive and helpful. Clean, nice Deli vibe. Will return earlier next time for the pastrami. Front street parking and some in rear of building. Off Bardstown Road on Dundee. Really good. Just go.

Had the special today, hot ham and cheese. Very tasty! Ham was perfectly crisp in the edges, and the chips were amazing. They are made in house. This is not your run of the mill sandwich shop. I can’t want to come back and try the rest of the menu

Had first lunch at Good Belly with family today. My husband has been several times and again got the pastrami, which he loves. One child got hot ham and cheese and liked it a lot. My husband ate what she didn’t finish said it was amazing. I ordered the veggie, I probably wouldn’t get it again and hope some hot vegetarian sandwiches are added to the menu. Another child got the reuben and devored it. Chocolate chip and black and white cookies were amazing!

Treat yourself. This is not your “entry level” sandwich shop and, while the prices are a little higher, the quality of the sandwich and the sides make this a great value. High quality, perfectly marbled meat, paired with thin potato crisps that I’m pretty sure were fried right in house after I ordered. The mustard on my corned beef and pastrami was just the right portion and spiciness and really completed the dish. Looking forward to trying all their other sandwiches! Veggie option available.

We’ve visited the food truck multiple times at 3rd Turn in JTown and was never disappointed. They’ve kept this same energy for their brick and mortar. You’re paying for high quality meat and this is as close as you’ll get to a Kosher NY Deli in Louisville. I love the Latkes and Chicken Salad. The pastrami is on point. For some the price point may seem a little higher but you’re getting what you pay for in quality.

This should be called Great Belly!! I’ve had the pastrami twice and it is amazing!! It’s a little pricey but worth every penny. If you can show restraint you can get two meals out of one sandwich.
