AWESOME menu – I wanted to try just about everything. They stumbled a bit on the execution; my baked beans were cold, and the patty in my Good Life Burger was undercooked. My wife said her brisket “tasted like roast beef”. While it fell short of “best experience ever”, this place has real potential, and I’d like to give it another try.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn while passing through North Platte. The reception desk employees had just finished eating dinner from Good Life on the Bricks and we decided to try it based on their recommendation. It absolutely did not disappoint. All three of our meals were delicious and pricing is extremely reasonable. Wish we had this place closer to home, as we all wanted to try multiple things on the menu. Props to the owner and cooks!

I went in and ordered 2 margaritas to go with a extra shot in each and 3 orders of pulled pork nachos. My total was over $40 and I left a good tip. When i got back to the room the nachos were good and hot don’t get me wrong and the employee that served me was super nice but the margarita tasted like mix only. What sucked is I specifically went there for the margaritas. It was so sweet I couldn’t even drink it and no taste of alcohol.

Unfortunately, the experience here was super disappointing. The restaurant was dirty upon entering, but being that this wasn’t a chain restaurant, we wanted to give it a chance. The service was super slow, and when we finally got our food, special requests weren’t followed, food was cold, and overall was simply not good. My husband couldn’t even finish his dish due to the chicken being cold. We were satisfied with our server as he was super attentive and checked in with us frequently. We were passing through and heard this was a great place to go. We were there on a busy Saturday at about 6 pm. Hostess seated us promptly, took another 10 minutes for waiter to arrive. Ordered drinks which took at least 15 minutes to arrive – a draft beer and margarita on the rocks. Recognizing that they were busy, we promptly ordered a 12 inch pizza. After another 15 minutes or so, we ordered another round of drinks. The pizza took just over 45 minutes to arrive. While the pizza flavor was good, it appeared the kitchen was sloppy with preparation as we had scatterings of unwanted toppings on the pizza. Additionally the pizza was only lukewarm so probably sat for a while before being served. Observing the other tables in our section, it appeared that three of the other ten tables had issues with the accuracy of their orders. I would return if bar service could be more timely and food came out hot.
