My fiancé and I visited here today for the first time. The first thing I want to point out is how fantastic and friendly all the staff are! When we walked in, it literally felt like we were family even though we had never visited before. It was much appreciated! We both ordered burgers which were juicy and flavorful. I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger and was impressed with the amount of mushrooms added on. The only “con” was just the steep pricing for diner food, BUT I would gladly pay more for this great service than a cheaper place that doesn’t care. I was eyeing the French Toast so we will definitely be back!

Not a bad place to stop and get breakfast. It was pretty expensive which was surprising for a diner. We spent over $100 on four meals with coffee and juice. The oatmeal was microwaved which I didn’t love. The fresh salsa had tons of flavor and was delicious with the potatoes and onions/peppers.

Delicious! So many good things to say… everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Eggs, bacon, toast, crunchy home fries. Pancakes were as big as the plate! There was a 20 minute wait for a table, but it was worth it. Only negatives were very minor – limited parking, one bathroom, dated furniture…but this is such a great place those things don’t even matter. We will be back again! REALLY good service! We left full and happy.

Love this place, I’m glad I found this gem! I was greeted immediately and waved at as soon as I walked in the door, as if they knew me already. I was still greeted a few more times as I walked to the table. My boyfriend and I were very surprised at how friendly everyone was, this being LA after all; so the name definitely rings true. We were served drinks immediately and the staff remained attentive the whole time. My pancakes and sausage were very good, just as if they were homemade 🙂 There were a lot of appealing options on the menu, it was hard to choose. Oh, and Edward James Olmos was sitting a couple tables away from me 😉

We really like this place, food quality and price was okay, service was friendly. My only recommendation would be to encourage them to reduce their plastic use, they’re using disposable cups for coffee even though we were dining in.

Being from Tennessee, I know good family food cooked with love when I eat it ! This place is it! I am hard on grits but they know what they are doing !
