Today I stopped at Good Religion and ordered oxtail, mac & cheese, cabbage/vegetable mix. The meal was delicious. Oxtail were fall off the bone and had a little kick. Mac & cheese had tons of favor. Cabbage/vegetables mix so good. Food was satisfying. Service was excellent. I am definitely returning.

Good Religion Grill is a whole VIBE! When you enter the restaurant, you are welcomed by a friendly staff and great music. The food was to DIE for. I got curry chicken, cornbread (the best I have ever had), french fries with their special sauce (a must), and they surprised us with some rum & raisin ice cream for dessert! This place is a MUST if you are in the Albany or Troy area.

The lovely staff here made us feel welcome right away and was open to making any accommodations to make us comfortable. They moved tables without us asking and offered to lower the music. Our server was lively and sweet she told us how she worked with her father to perfect the cornbread recipe. I highly recommend trying it! It was moist with a sweet maple glaze that complimented the rich corn flavor nicely. We also had the coconut honey wings, the jerk chicken slider and the fish fry sandwich. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. The pricing is good for lunch and if you want a bigger meal there are options for that as well. Be sure to ask what is spicy if you have a lower tolerance. The jerk chicken can be hot but it is flavorful. Parking is on the street but it is not too busy of an area so you should be able to find a space. We will definitely be back here! Please stop by and try this place, they just opened in January and they are something different to try in Albany.

Abby was so friendly and hospitable as she made me feel very welcomed into her restaurant…felt like I walked into her kitchen! She was so adaptable and considerate of my Husband’s dietary needs! The food was delicious! She put her foot, heart and soul! The prices are reasonable especially as food is going up. The music was kind of loud so it was hard to hear her as we spoke. All in all, a keeper! Two happy customers in Alb!

Listen! This is definitely the BEST place I have been to in a very long time… I basically was traveling 3 hours away from here to enjoy an order of oxtails. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The Food is absolutely fantastic. My daughter and I were able to sample almost everything they offer there before we ordered and no other place I know of lets you do this. Everything we sampled was so good. Once I reached home my family also agreed that this was our new go to spot for take out. I highly recommend you give this establishment a try. It’s worth the trip.

The food here is amazing!! I had the stew chicken with rice and peas and cabbage. With a side of Mac and cheese w oxtail gravy. So flavorful with great portions and a lot of great options. This easily has to be one of the best Jamaican/ Soul Food Spots in Albany. I will always recommend this place. The customer service was great. They are very friendly there. I will most definitely be going back there !!

This place is amazing, from the service, to the food. I would recommend this to anyone I know. The owner was very hospitable and recommended a couple of dishes, due to the fact that I am a vegetarian. When I tasted the food, I was amazed, this is some of the best comfort food I’ve ever had. The owner has an amazing spirit and it permeates into the food that she serves! Five stars!
