The sauce meat rice was great. Sauce was quite greasy which I wasn’t surprised, nothing a little spooning out most of the grease wouldn’t fix. Easy, no complaints. I was drooling, felt like I got transported back to haiti lol. Only issue I have is place needs upgrades, I would like to see some menus and prices beforehand. I would call to help save a few minutes if I knew what they regularly cook on Saturdays. Although there’s a picture online, I can’t actually see it cause lots looks blurry. But I was told in time they’ll have that done. Place is small so don’t expect much. As long as you go there for some good food, I recommend.

It’s an ok place to order take out. They moved next door, which is smaller; maybe cheaper rent, mot sure. They do need to invest on good quality take out containers for their food. Food is ok, could be better.

I ordered some fritay over the phone the other day. After 30mns, I headed up there to pick up my food. Guess what? I spent another 60mns waiting… And at the end, the guy told me the other guy took my order not him and he didn’t have anymore food. I just thanked him and called Applebee’s where I got exactly what I ordered without even waiting. So one less customer!

Had a fantastic fried fish and black rice meal! The fish was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of acidity. The presentation was great. The lady at the counter was professional and friendly. I would absolutely come back very soon. I really enjoyed my meal.

I am rating the restaurant poorly due to bad customer service when calling the restaurant. The person answering the phone was rude when I inquired about an order I placed via Grubhub (which was never delivered/received), the person got loud at me and said that he doesn’t use Grubhub and hung up the phone. So rude!!

I’ve been craving some Haitian food for a while since my wife is not Haitian and I can’t cook, lol, and I’ve been looking for a spot near me. I was in the Linden area today and found the Good Shepherd and gave it a try. It did not disappoint!!! As others have said, they give you a good portion for a good price. I got the fried chicken with rice & beans and it was delicious. It brought back some good memories. I definitely recommend their food and will be back soon!

So I tried Haitian food at this restaurant last week apart from Guyanese food that I’m accustomed to and for the first time it was OUTSTANDING great portion food have flavor .
