We wanted to try Cody Bill’s for their steak dinner, but they were closed for remodeling. Good time Charlie’s didn’t have a ton of people, so we decided to try them to see if we liked it. First off, the waitress was outstanding. She took our order and was honestly very friendly, patient, and very helpful. I ordered the steak and shrimp dinner, and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak meal with a side of fried shrimp, plus side salads.

I haven’t been here in 10+ years because the food & service stunk. I’ve heard they made a big push to improve in recent years, so I gave them another try, and I’m glad I did. Good food; I had some special instructions as to how I wanted my breakfast prepared (at 4:PM. yes, I’m one of THOSE customers) and the cook complied exactly. My server was great. Even though she was the only one handling the whole place, she was still cheerful and did a great job.

They were full. One half in the left under renovation. They were short handed but the waiter was very good taking orders, bringing food, refills, and cleaning. Give him credit. Good food. Bigger, thicker chicken fried steak tbsn other places. Got My money’s worth. Wife had shrimp, tater tots and salad. Very good, little cup of beans was cold, which she frowns upon. Very good overall.

We have been going to Sunday breakfast there for weeks. Today was absolutely terrible. We waited fifty minutes for someone to take our order and then another fifteen to get our food. It was busy but there didn’t seem to be any sort of rush to feed people. Once we got our food no one checked back to refill water or coffee. It looks like we will be looking for another place to have our Sunday breakfast.

My dad had eaten here daily for several years until he fell ill over a year ago. I occasionally joined him. Saddened to post, the sausage look browned and cooked on the outside, but just bearly warm in the center, pancakes were tough and forks bent trying to cut, had to use knife. Coffee wasn’t all that good either. They are still remodeling, I thought thet finished 2years ago? The waitress did comp. the meal as both my companion and I left most of our food on the plates. Thank you for that.
