Price to quality: 9/10 will go again. The sliced beef wasn’t overly lean, sliced pork was perfect, ribs were seasoned perfectly, chicken was juicy with crispy skin. Fried corn was good but I don’t think I should do that to my heart again. Baked beans were a little hard and underdone. Fried green tomatoes were good. The customer service here was five star, out-of-this-world, true southern hospitality.

We stopped here on the way home from Tallahassee. One of the members of our party wanted bbq and it was on the way. The sign outside says closed for remodeling. DIsregard it! They are open. It is kind of dark and dingy, the tables squeak, but the servers are friendly and the food was good. We started off with the sampler and fried green tomatoes. Then there was a bunch of meat being passed around, as we all picked off of each other plates! We ordered dessert, but apparently it is just on the menu to deceive as they never make cobbler or pie. That made me sad, but I was too full anyway.

Love the food, love the people that work there. But, since they closed the inside and only open the drive through, we don’t eat there much anymore. Mainly fit the fact that your probable to get caught in line for 45 minutes to an hour.

Truly amazing ribs and sliced smoked pork. I love the texture of the cliched pork over the pulled which is hard to find. The sides could use some imagination. They weren’t bad but they were just like everybody else. Maybe throw some chucks of leftover meat in the beans or throw some bacon in the potato salad. Get adventurous!

They are currently only serving takeout, which you can phone in or walk up to their drive-through menu and order. Excellent food, exactly what you would expect in a southern barbecue joint. And you can’t ask for friendlier service anywhere.
