What a great place! Unique with late hours. Opens at 11pm. I had the egg sandwich and my hubby the slinger. Delicious. Reasonable priced and big portions. Highly recommend. Friendly people!!

The vegan food here is amazing! I was traveling from out of town and stopped in on my way home. I ordered the lentil burger, donuts, and a pickle pizza per the owners request. Another cool thing they do is bring you fresh popcorn while you wait for your food which was unique. Ross was such a sweetheart, and checked on me throughout the meal, and kept bringing me goodies while I was eating. It was really late when I left, and he even walked me all the way to my car. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. I will be back every time I’m in the St. Louis area!!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat late night and we came across Gooseberries. It’s such a cute place with a special vibe you wouldn’t expect if you were just driving by and saw the sign. The staff was really sweet and welcoming and accommodating. The food was delightful and really well priced for what you get. We’ll definitely be returning to try more of the menu

My husband and I are in town for the weekend. After a long drive and seeing a lot of places were closed, we found Gooseberrjes. It was so cute inside, we were greeted with great hospitality and had AMAZING food. So many vegan options and.. that tofu!!! Soo well done! We definitely want to come back while we are here!

I just had the best omelette of my life. I could take or leave the coffee, but the food was delicious. And they were quick to get it out to me, too. Everything there was fresh home cooking, with children’s movies playing through a VCR and TV against the wall. I’m eager to try more from their fun, expansive menu.

Charming and comfortable, family-friendly environment with a wide variety of vegan to meat choices of comfort foods — even a few surprises from the past. The owner and chef, a husband and wife team, proud of their Southside heritage, were welcoming and friendly. We will be coming back, and recommend you add Gooseberries to your list too. Maybe a Monday all you can eat pizza and salad night?
