Been swinging by Gordito Burrito since the mid 90s, and this location was the go to before they put one at Sac State. Nearly 30 years later, our family is back to the La Riv location regularly. The shredded beef is excellent, and definitely get your burritos deluxe! Also have a killer selection of breakfast burritos, but bring your appetite if you order The Breakfast Beast… that is a four meat monstrosity of breakfast Awesomeness. You go there for the food, not the ambiance, but you’ll keep going back: especially for that garlicky salsa!!!

Excellent burrito and a very good value. Was steaming hot. The hot sauce (“hotter one” per staff) had awesome flavor with decent heat that wasn’t overpowering. One of the betters ones I’ve found in the Sac area.

We’ve been coming here for over 2 decades, in the early years as a poor Sac State college student looking for affordable food without breaking the bank. The food here is really good and yummy. The staff are always friendly and easy to talk to. Wait time for food is almost always about 10-15 minutes which is not bad since they assemble/make it upon ordering. If you’re looking for a convenient budget friendly non fancy place to grab a quick bite to eat, this is the place. You will not be disappointed. I recommend the Chili Verde, the Chicken Fajita Burrito, the Enchiladas, and even the Bean Rice and Cheese. All very good. Don’t forget to sign up for the award program using your cell number. I have been here twice.. ice doe for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch the asada was great, awesome flavor and tender. Although the Supreme burrito was a bit small. Last night I went for a burrito Supreme deluxe and the asada had zero taste, was hard… more hard/chewy than beef jerky… I ended up spitting most of the asada oit because it was so disgusting. I was highly disappointed for the price I paid I would have been better off going next door to taco bell

Not clean at all. Someone came out the kitchen and sneased right besides me like man im trying eat .? First time here food was not good probably a 4 out of a 10 . I am all over the state eating at different places thia being one of the worst ones.

They don’t have Al Pastor for one. I should have known there. But sure, I ordered SUPER Asada burrito. There wasn’t one thing Super about this burrito. Size? Underwhelming. Taste? Bland. Sour cream, cheese? Non existent. What a slap in my face. But I ate all of it anyways cause I had a long drive back. But it was bad enough for me to leave a review while driving ‍♂️
