This place is one of my absolute favorites, hands down.

Anything that has the pastor meat is gonna be delicious. I’ve eaten the pastor tacos, pastor Wab, carne asada burrito, spliff tacos, chicken tacos, and the asada kill-dilla. And no, not all in one sitting either. I am a fatty at heart and in person, but that’s just doing too much. Oh, and they put a few hot cheetos in the WAB burrito, which was a pleasant surprise. I will say the chicken does lack seasoning, but at least it wasn’t dry. The Pastor is where it’s at though!

It’s sad when you go somewhere on a weekly basis and they hire someone that has a bad attitude, then you notice she only has a bad attitude with you and other people that look like you!! I won’t be going back! I asked for extra crispy, and they used to make it correctly before she showed up, but now it’s cooked longer but still extra soggy! Does anyone like soggy quesadillas? Uhg!! And after asking for a tip, if you say no, she doesn’t even say a word to you! The cook had to say, “have a nice day” because she doesn’t know how to have proper customer service!! Disappointing! Good food turned bad because of a bad hire!

Omg the food is amazing. Staff are super friendly, and they gained a customer who will be going more often. Totally recommend pastor fries and the flautas.

Food here is absolutely awesome you need flavors and even unique color. I heard about this place to co workers I didn’t know it was located in the gas station but so worth going to. I feel like the food captivates the essence of Houston. From lean sauce, spliff tacos and guap.

It’s INSIDE the chevron! $8 and I don’t think I’ve ever been this full. This burrito is amazing.

I found Gordo Ninos on a whim by googling “food near me” while I waited for an appointment that I was too early for. As I scrolled by all the images of different places and the foods they offered nothing stuck out to me more than these tasty looking tacos with a purple sauce all over them. That alone intrigued me enough to look into them. I checked the reviews and it was just compliment after compliment. I had to check them out. I walk in and tell the guys working there that it was my first time. They happily educated me about their menu and their history and made suggestions based on my appetite. I decided to go with their pastor quesadilla and man that thing did not disappoint! To say it was delicious is an understatement. Not only was the food amazing but everyone there had great energy and a smile on their face with an attitude that said “I like being here.” Think I even saw someone on their break still hanging about and enjoying a conversation with the people around. In short Gordos is the end result of PASSION for what you do, a dedication to QUALITY, and great LEADERSHIP. TRY. THEM. OUT!

I’ve tried the pastor killa-dilla, spliff tacos and the W.A.B. special. All equally delicious. The sauces are the perfect level of spice. Enough to where they’re flavorful and not overbearing. Adding this to my list of favorite taco spots.

Green sauce is not guacamole. It’s just not. Second, your meat was good, but no self respecting taco place serves raw, uncooked tacos. Put that on the grill and warm it with some oil at least. They also don’t charge $2 for a mini taco. I can go to any taco truck and get a $2 or $2.5 taco rhat is regular size. Mexican restaurants serve these small tacos in packs. I did love the purple sauce, but the sauce ain’t what keeps people coming back. That’s what piques their interest. Quality, authenticity and consistency is what brings people back. I’ll always try a place twice, but I expected better. Habeneros still has the best tacos in the area.
