This Gordo is a place I’ve been visiting for a long time now, and while they’re not the best taqueria in the city, they’re still quite good, fast, and convenient. The burritos are, as per the name, hefty and tasty. The interior may not be the nicest, but as far as take out Mexican food goes, Gordo is my gold standard.

Maybe I’ve eaten here 500 times. I’m an avid taqueria eater. The poor reviews is mostly because they’re not ordering the right things. Order correctly and I’m hard pressed to put any taqueria over this. Yes you gotta pay extra for chips, pico de gallo to dip it with the chips, sour cream, and guacamole.

This place is so good! Open during the pandemic for to go orders (June 2021). I had the chilli Verde. The guacamole is superb at this place. We got 1 pint of guacamole. I would go back to this place especially because the staff was super nice and friendly.

If you need cheap eats near golden gate Park, this may be the spot for you. They have pretty good prices. Go up to the line cook counter and order what you’d like. If you’re dairy free make sure you specify right away or you’ll get cheese on your items. Good standard chips.

This is a place for a quick bite to eat. The green salsa is a little spicy but delicious. The pico de gallo. The pinto/ beans were good . The carnitas were not dry. This was a place for after a hike. To get a quick bite.

Service is really slow. Food was ok. Large portions, especially for the price. Affordable and good food. But there’s a wait. Not very friendly.

Gordo has been my nostalgic eats since the 90s. Go to has always been super burrito with carnitas (or pollo) with no beans and extra hot sauce. Comes out to around $8

This Gordos restaurant on 9th Avenue used to be a nice friendly place many years ago. Unfortunately it has changed like a lot of places in San Francisco. The food is still good, but the staff at the front counter seem very rude all the time now, and that could be why I don’t see that many people when I come in here. I’m not going to be coming back to this place anymore since it’s clear to me that the good vibes are now gone.
