Watched some videos of tuna being broken down on YouTube and caught a craving. Came here to get satisfied, and satisfied I got. Fish was so fresh, prepared simply and beautifully. Also: it’s a nice experience to walk into a restaurant anywhere and be greeted with a few smiles, but it feels especially welcoming in midtown Manhattan.

No frills sushi spot on the back of a hotel. Strong aroma of the sea on the grill. Seating area is small and intimate. Service is attentive but felt slightly unwelcoming. Felt weird refilling my own sake when less expensive restaurants do this for me. Perhaps as they are trying to be efficient vs friendly. I ordered to only find out 10 minutes later the dish I chose was unavailable. All this being said, the gyoza is a perfect blend of crisp and soft. The specials are expensive AF but tasty. Eating a $10 piece of tuna left me feeling some type of way. I guess I don’t have the taste buds to appreciate it. Tonkatsu was a bit dry. Rice was amazing. Sauce top notch. Overall, come here for expensive but great food.

Authentic Japanese food – super high quality ingredients, service is amazing and honestly a hidden gem and stumbled into this restaurant when looking at the dinosaur in the henna hotel window. You have to experience this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Japanese food/taste. Sushi chef is legit!!! Reasonably priced. If there was a rating higher than 5 it would apply.

We stayed at the hotel so we tried this place for dinner and breakfast. Everything here is super expensive, the mains start at $30 so for that price, i recommend getting the sushi set or chirashi. The sushi is really fresh and well-made, but you will definitely not be full after.

We are true sushi lovers and found Gosuke on a blog. We had several rolls and different types of sushi that were freshly prepared in front of us by two very talented sushi chefs. Everything we had here was amazing but seared salmon sushi was mind-blowing! Strongly recommended!

I lived in Japan for 7 years and this place is super authentic – genuine Japanese style sushi. Fish quality is very good and the seasoning is subtle and features many traditional Japanese flavours like yuzu, shiso and ume. Very good service – wait staff are attentive, friendly and helpful.

This place is a hidden gem next to Henna hotel. Some of the most fresh and delicious sushi I have ever had. The Sushi Chef was super friendly and passionate about his craft. We did the arranged lunch special and it was amazing! Give this place a try if your in the area. There’s a moving dinosaur in the front too!
