The owner, Raymond, recognizes my order and stops by and greets me every time I come in no matter how long its been since my last visit. The food is great. He has some trouble getting good help, but he knows how to make really good food and takes customer service pretty seriously. I’ve been unhappy after a visit and he’s made it right. Give it a try, and if you don’t like something, just talk to him about it.

I used to love this restaurant. Apparently the ownership has changed since my last visit. I should have known something wasn’t right when there was noone else dining and the server couldn’t even recommend a dish. It’s nothing like it used to be. Food tasted terrible. The meals all came to the table at different times. They used to bring you hot tea and hot washcloths after the meal. They used to even box your leftovers for you. ..what a disappointment

I would leave zero stars if I could. The lo mein tasted like how bleach smells. The bourbon chicken was made with highly fatty dark meat. I think there was meat in it. Then, when we very politely and calmly brought up the odd taste to the lo mein the manager started screaming at us. Telling us “no, world famous chicken. No, you eat. You pay. Famous chicken” then stormed off. I called out to him concerned with an excuse me? He turned, half way down the room and said, “no. You pay, not waste food. Or I call police.”

Everything we got was perfect. Most of the plates range from about $8-$16, and they have pretty big portions. You could probably split one plate with two people if you don’t eat a lot. The manager was super nice. They’re also suposed to have free delivery, but I’ve not ordered it yet. They also give a discount to Northern Kentucky University students. You can take the TANK NKU shuttle from the school and get there pretty fast. It was very, very, very excellent. Definitely coming back! 🙂

February 17, 2017. Dinner. The food, overall, was good. I was disturbed to see an employee (hostess/waitress/cashier) who seemed significantly more concerned with her cell phone and watching television than she did with her job and the guests. She seemed unnecessarily loud when talking; wandered the restaurant staring at her cell phone screen, and then sat down to watch TV – having to be told by another hostess that customers are ready to check out. This is no way to be seen on the job and is a turn-off for customers. It gets a 3-star review here because the kitchen was good on the order. Customer service, up front, is hurting.

I had not been to this restaurant in a few years so the wife and I were driving by and decided to stop in for dinner. Now the last time we were there the service was great and food was excellent. When we entered the place it was empty and the lights were off. The man at the entrance, dressed in blue jeans and a tee shirt, said they were trying to save money and to sit anywhere. So we sat and he told us that the waitress was having stomach problems and was in the bathroom and would be out to take our order when she finished in the bathroom. My wife and I looked at each other with that ” did he really just say that” look. He then took our drink order letting us know that he wasn’t good at waitressing that he was the cook so he wasn’t very good at it. He brought us our drinks, a coke and a water and asked if we were ready to order and again he let us know that the waitress stomach was really messed up and that she was still in the bathroom so he would take our order. I was ready to ask where the camera’s were because this had to be a joke or one of those TV shows that show people’s reactions to ubsured situations. I told him we weren’t ready to order yet, he left and went back to the kitchen. My wife and I gave each other “the look” again, I pulled out a 5 dollor bill for the drinks and put it under my drink glass and we left. We were both kind of creeped out by the guy and the whole situation but after we got in the car we laughed all the way down the road and actually felt a little sorry for the guy.

I ordered take out from this restaurant today. The sweet and sour chicken was so good but for the lunch portion they only gave me 6 peices of chicken. We also got seseme chicken and it tasted more like teriyaki chicken with seseme seeds on top. It was also only 6 peices of chicken. Oh and I ordered an egg roll which was forgotten. I would not order from again, it was not worth the money.
