I dined here on Fri Jun 30. I had fried catfish, french fries, and collard greens. The food was great! More than that, Ms. Deborah (one of the owners) was great. She and another lady actually served my food. They both were very warm and loving, and they made me feel at home. Ms. Deborah is a wonderful conversationalist! I did think that that music was a bit loud for a restaurant, but it wasn’t overpowering. Overall, my experience was great, and I’d definitely return in the future!

They personally greet you upon entry. We arrived before their opening time and were accommodated. They seated me and my mom and actually cooked our food. Now we arrived about an hour early, yet they made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious, we had the fish, it was so nicely seasoned. The atmosphere is very nice. You would expect to find this type of place in Aiken or Charleston, but it’s in Allendale County in Fairfax. They have a bar if you like alcohol beverages. It’s beautifully decorated and has live entertainment. You can’t go here and not totally enjoy the experience. Forsure will be one of my go-to places for a nice evening getaway.

A delightful and unexpected stop. Govans has delicious food, we had fried chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese and collards which were the best I’ve had. The atmosphere and decor are beautiful.

I absolutely love Govan’s and wish there was one in Savannah. We usually stop in when we are praying through the area. We’ve also had a birthday party for my mom there. The Govan’s are great people, the place is beautiful, and the food is delicious.
