When my mom and I walked in the girl behind the register hollered at us and we could not understand her. She was gruff and not people person.

What happened to this place? I’ve been going here since it was in White Star and after going here last night, I have to say I probably won’t be going back. The staff that was there was nice and helpful but the bartender didn’t come in so the manager taking our order at the kitchen also had to get us drinks at the bar. I felt bad for her because the system was designed for having a bartender to make it less awkward. Now the food. We had the Philibuster, Steak of the Union, Clucks and Balances, Anthony Boudin, Magna Carrot, and Supreme Corn. Everything came out quickly but rather cold. The Clucks had really dry chicken. Philibuster was ok but cold. Steak of the Union really didn’t taste like anything with a pretty bland chimichurri and tough steak. The carrot was old and dry but the rest of the taco was ok. The Boudin was the only one that was good in all aspects. The corn was terrible. As a person who eats corn on the cob incessantly, this cob of corn was unusually bad. It tasted like it was cooked a few days ago and reheated since the kernels were shrunken and dry as in the pic. The dressing was good, but the corn should be the star of the show. I’m not sure what is going on here but this place really needs to get it together as there are lots of other taco places that do a significantly better job.

“There’s something they’re not telling us”… the food is sub-par.

The food was great! We got the queso (a bit spicy for kids, but great if you can tolerate a little heat), 5 tacos, and a frozen margarita. All of it was excellent. The bartender could’ve been more inclined to serve us, but otherwise a great experience.

I got the regular tacos and my friend got 3 specialty tacos. His tacos were fantastic, great flavors, but they could’ve used more product for the price point. I got a regular taco and the ground beef was literally dust. I counted 3 pieces of diced tomato on one of my tacos. There was so little beef that I compared it to taco bell. I could tell the beef had been sitting in a 3rd pan for the past hour. We did come in about 30 minutes before close, but that beef should’ve been fresh regardless. Definitely a very clean kitchen from our perspective.

I was a little underwhelmed. When I went in, the restaurant was almost completely empty. I wasn’t sure how to order or or where to go so I walked up to the desk and the young lady was extremely nice. She asked me what I’d like and I told her I wasn’t sure. I asked about happy hour and she wasn’t sure about the prices and didn’t really explain it well. I told her thank you and just walked away so I could figure out what I wanted. I walked back up and an asked a few more questions for clarification but just went ahead and ordered the first two tacos that looked interesting to me.

Upon entry, GT looked inviting but had an off-putting smell. We looked past that and reviewed the menu. The tacos choices looked inventive and intriguing. After ordering, we headed to the bar and took some time to find someone to help us. After walking to the kitchen, we found someone to help us. After that, almost everyone disappeared. The restaurant was empty. While waiting quite some time for our food, we noticed that tables had not been cleaned. Probably 20 trays we piled on the trash receptical. When we left, we were extremely unimpressed with GT. This place lacked management’s direction to service and cleanliness. We felt the food was “meh” at best. How could it be that I had heard what a great place this was? It could be improved upon, but I have my doubts.

If you have a lot of $$$ to spend on tacos this is your place. High dollar tacos and then after we ordered and paid they tell us they are out of sour cream. If you gonna charge $5.00 for one 3″ Taco you can’t run out of sour cream. A lot of places try this high end dining of simple food… I’ve had it where it totally worked. Everything has to be on point. This place needs attention to detail. Decent food tho

Came here for the first time tonight to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When we walked in it was completely empty and we felt awkward being there. We kind of got a greeting but staff were sitting around so we thought maybe they were closed.

Yum!! I only had a second to glance at the menu so I chose the most simple Regular tacos but can’t wait to come back and try something different and unique. Outdoor area is really chill and fun for a big group like we were in.
