Not a lot of salad options in Vallejo for ordering online but this place has a good chicken salad with lots of meat. The chicken is a lot better than the brisket. Chicken has great flavor and smoke. Corn bread, coleslaw, and potato salad were all good too. The only thing that wasn’t good is the briskest which was far too dry.

We arrived about 30 minutes before closing with a party of 7 and I asked to make sure it would not be an issue. It was not and the service was phenomenal! From the moment we arrived to when we left the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

I read reviews on this restaurant and thought this might be a good place to go since there’s very few good eateries here in Vallejo. Okay I was wrong! I went there today with my granddaughter undecided on what I wanted didn’t know if I wanted to dine in or just order to go, I was offered a menu to look over. Once looking over the menu I decided to get the sampler and some swamp juice, I paid and then inform the young man we were going to stay there and eat. It didn’t take very long at all to bring me my food. Here’s the problem my links the little three slices I had were not hot I guess I will say lukewarm, but they were very good. The rib was a little less than lukewarm had a lot of fat on it but other than that it was very tasty. Now let’s get to the chicken the chicken had so much fat I got tired of picking it off it was not completely done and the flavor was not all that great. The brisket taco once I found the brisket under all the slaw was cold and tasteless. Now the swamp juice was very good. The waiter was very unattentive I’m not sure if it was because I paid before I was seated or because I was the only person of color in the restaurant at the time, the young man with the curly hair tended to all the other tables went around asking was everything good if they needed anything never once did he asked me anything. I also had to stop him after he took an order just to ask for a to go box and he went I guess rung up the order then came back and cleaned off a few tables then went back and got me my to-go box which I thought was very rude. This establishment is not what I expected for it to be I’m not sure if they make their own reviews but damn it was nothing like what

Nice place for BBQ. I had the burnt ends and it was delicious. Each meal comes with 2 sides and cornbread. I had the beans and mashed potatoes. I loved the potatoes but the beans were bland, I added some of the bbq sauce on the table and they tasted better. The lemonade was great, drinks are brought in large mason jars. Other plates we ordered were the 1/2 chicken with coleslaw (which was delicious) and the beans. Chicken was moist and very tasty. Other meal was pulled pork and Ribs with beans and Mac and cheese that was also bland, needed more seasoning. We wanted to try the sweet potato pie and the rib tips but they were sold out. I would stop by if I was in the Vallejo area and wanted BBQ. Good amount of food for the price.

Great place to order take away food. Excellent Jambalaya soup. Delicious pulled pork sandwiches/plates. And a delicious chicken topped salad. Don’t forget to save room for the yummy banana pudding.

Can you say “DELICIOSO” with me? OMG! This place is pretty delicious! 1st time here, had no idea what was good and popular but I got a platter of each: Ribs/chicken, Ribs/hotlink & brisket/chicken. Sides: cheesy mac, coleslaw, mashed with gravy and potato salad. Also, 1 gallon Sweet tea! Each platter came with a good size corn sweet bread and we also took dessert: Sweet potato pie, apple and lemon! WE DEVOURED this pretty fast! FINGER LICKING DELICIOUS! You MUST! Thank you
