There are too many good things to say about Gracie’s. My man Craig is out here pouring his heart and soul into beautiful food, and it shows. My spouse and I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new space, and it’s absolutely beautiful. A good size of indoor and outdoor seating, lovely decor and fun personal touches. The quality of the food is excellent. Craig goes out of his way to source fresh, innovative ingredients and crafts them into gorgeous pies. The dough is prepared so well, and the pies cook beautifully in the wood fired oven. I highly recommend trying the daily pie, they’re always fun, delicious and creative. The tomato pie is probably my favorite, it’s simple, classic, and so tasty. There is also homemade ice cream, appetizers, and great wine selections. I think the thing I appreciate the most about Gracie’s, other than the great quality of the food, is that everything is done with genuine love and attention. It’s a staple in the St. John’s community and I love that the space cultivates that. Yes, you’ll probably have to wait an hour for your food when it’s busy, but it’s worth it to me. Every time we’ve gone it’s been consistently tasty.

Great pizza. Worth going out of your way for. Destroyed all 3 of my pies before remembering to take a photo. Will be back.

Get over here ASAP. We had their seasonal pie that had peaches on it. We lucked out when we went several times. Just before 7, we were told they had no more pizza…then had one ball of dough left and then had 2. We asked about the peach pizza but we’re told it wasn’t available that evening, but they could try to make an exception for one. Turns out that had enough peaches for BOTH. We also had their peach ice cream. TO DIE FOR. The owner and staff were wonderful. We followed him from when he would pop up at Pastifico. Will be back!

Here’s what you need to know going in… there are not a ton of options or ingredients to choose from, there are no fancy plates, or seating… but you don’t need that from Gracie’s because each combination they put together are perfect just the way they are.

This is probably a hot take, but I think Gracie’s has taken the spot for my favorite pizza spot in PDX. The dough is always so perfectly chewy and charred–Craig is truly a master. The tomato pie is definitely the best, as advertised, but the specials never disappoint. Keep in mind when you visit that Craig makes all the pizzas himself, so the pizzas may take a bit to come out. But just be patient, enjoy some olives and a salad–the wait is well worth it.

We couldn’t wait to try Gracie’s and we were not let down by the hype. Handmade to order, each pie is crafted using local ingredients. The crust was crispy yet chewy. The flavor combinations were unique and worth trying.

Go!! A gem. Delicious interesting flavored pizza. I had the pizza with Hazel nuts and my partner had the pizza with cherries and chorizo. My partner is gluten free and can eat the crust without any effects because it’s heritage flour. Get there early.

“Good Pizza” Is a highly opinionated and contested debate that I love partaking in. I’m of the opinion that the secret is all in the dough and if you don’t eat the crust (in my opinion) it’s sacrilegious! My wife is Italian, born, and raised in NYC. To my horror she doesn’t enjoy eating pizza crust. Our four year old son has adopted this abominable habit.
