Man, Grain River Asian Bistro does a LOT of things well. As good as the food is – and it IS – believe that headliner caption photo on Yelp here – those sesame balls absolutely blew me away. We’re very fortunate to live right in the area, and we’ve only been there once but we will definitely be back many times. The service really got to me, too. Warm and very friendly and not in a fake or lip service way at all. TRULY excellent service. Very welcoming and warm young women running the place, and I felt they truly appreciated my business.

OMG, this was the best pho in Oro Valley and possibly Tucson (sorry Miss Saigon). They are under new management and re-opened May 9th, 2023 with a more Vietnamese menu. I’m a pho connoisseur and I have to say this is one of the best!

New owners and it’s not positive. Wait staff was great, but the pricing vs portion is laughable. Unlike most chinese places a numbered order 1-22 comes with nothing. No sides, wasn’t asked if I wanted to add sides. Fried rice was very good, but wrong protein. Crab rangoon was just fried noodles. Basically $50 for a large portion of rice and a med order of orange chicken , with the empty rangoons. Not a good deal in the least.

Best authentic Vietnamese food we’ve eaten for such a long time except for my mom’s cooking. Dishes portion sizes were plentiful. We had Vietnamese crepe appetizer (2 crepes per order!) was larger than most entree size dishes elsewhere. Place was spotless. Service was excellent and it was close to home in Oro Valley. Compliments to the Vietnamese family owned restaurants for making excellent home cooked Vietnamese dishes. A must return! Can’t wait to try their other dishes like the Vietnamese chicken wings.

First time at this place, lots of mouth watering menu choices. So excited to place our orders. Water served with lemon has a bad after taste, like it’s been cross contaminated with other food items,… the ice maybe? The meats in our order are hard to identify,…taste…look. I identified the pork hock but it was tough. Interesting menu but our first & last visit. One star for service. Nice servers.
