Really really good food. Easily the best Crab Cake I’ve had anywhere west of the Mississippi, maybe east of it too. Truly gourmet and unique food that will leave you raving about it. Can’t believe it took me this long to hear about this place! I have eaten all over the country and this has instantly become one of my new favorites. Staff was friendly and knew the food very well, the passion shows on all fronts at Grand Lake Public House.

I am absolutely baffled at the fact that this place doesn’t have a line out the door because everything we just had was insanely fresh and delicious. We had 3 apps…the wings, egg rolls and crab cake, my husband had the baked pork chop…. all was delectable and the presentation was great as well.

It didn’t look like much when we pulled up but the ambiance is great inside. It’s more upscale than you might expect. We had a couple drinks but I opted for only the Caesar salad (with added chicken). It was excellent but the triangles of croutons(?) are a miss I think. I’d prefer something more flavorful and crunchy like traditional croutons if given the choice. The dressing will make it or break it, and it was “made” with some yummy dressing. Service was excellent and it appeared to be a mainstay for quite a few locals, which is always a welcome sign.

We went twice. The first time we had lamb and ribeye and it was very good. The second time was awful. He fried the cheeseburgers well done. We ordered medium rare. The crab cake was served cold. The pasta was cold and tasted like perfume. The best thing about the whole thing was the helpful server. We won’t be going back anytime soon!

Service was excellent! Food was delicious, loved the decor! We came into Grove from Stillwater and we wished he had this restaurant back home! Make sure you call and get a reservation so you can make sure you get a table! We will definitely be back!

The food was great, a tad pricy but worth it. We had the Cheese burger, Chicken Alfredo, Lamb Chops and Elk Chop. All of which was great. The sauce on the Lamb and Elk completed the flavors with the mash potatoes. The brussel sprouts were sweetened, almost candied. The Elk and Lamb were both served medium rare and though I prefer Elk to be medium well to well done, both dishes were every bit plate cleaning. We also had the egg roles, though greasy, were delicious. I absolutely enjoyed the food, hospitality and environment. Even the children enjoyed the food and we’re welcomed guests by the staff. My cup would almost never go empty. I will definitely be back.

Amazing food! You truly get what you pay for. The pork chop was excellent, I’d get it again but next time I’ll try something else. The service is amazing too. You’ll need reservations for dinner. We just go have a late lunch/early dinner.

Don’t bring kids or you will 100% get looks from the bar tender. Nasty looks all night, not welcoming at all, and overall just very unpleasant experience. Never had a restaurant treat me like this. Hardly any options and pretty tasteless . 100% do NOT Recommend.

This is mine and my family’s favorite place to eat! The food is superb. The staff are just warm and welcoming and again the food is mouth watering . Expect to pay for superb food. I have eaten everything from the menu and have not once been let down, the Elk is my fav. The Lamb is my husband’s fav. And I could go on and on.
