Absolutely loved this little tavern! The staff was so friendly and very attentive. Wish I was there longer so I could’ve ate there a few more times. Food was so good! Patio, bar, or table for seating. We sat at a table and had the most beautiful view of the lake. Would highly recommend eating here!!

Didn’t end up eating here after sitting around for 15 minutes or more to even get a menu. A sign in the entrance said to sit at smaller tables if there was 4 or less in your party. However the waitress serving the front told us it was ok to go to the back. When the waitress in the back finally acknowledged our presence she started off by telling us the tables in the back were for larger groups. Everyone in the back had put in their orders but us. The waitress up front was WAY more busy and was very attentive to her customers.

It took a bit of effort to get noticed at the bar, but eventually they came and took my order. So I tried out the salad bar and soup and ordered a pizza. The salad bar was pretty average, the soup of the day was beef barley. I went for the special Pizza reminded me of a Greek style pizza with the bottom looking like it’s cooked in a greased pan instead of a stone. Overall, the pizza was good not amazing. Prices are a little bit on the high side, I’m guessing it’s because its tourist season.

Our waitress gave good service,But wasn’t exactly the friendliest. The Reuben was ok, however was about a little less than half the size you would get anywhere else for the same price. The fries that I paid $3 extra for came out cold and hard, like they had been sitting out for an hour or 2, they had good taste and were probably incredible hot or even warm. If you’re in Grand Marais, the only thing this place has going for it is that you will get served beer and the atmosphere is made great by the decor and the patrons. Just go to Lake Superior Brewing.

We stopped as a last minute thing and we were more than happy with the choice! First the service, as soon as we were seated the wait staff was right there for drinks. She gave a few minutes to look over menu, we had the chicken tenders with fries along with the fish dinner. All the food came out hot and very tasty. I would for sure visit this restaurant again! You won’t regret it
