1st time here. I had the catfish with 2 sides. I chose spicy rice & collard green. Also ordered coleslaw. It was different kind of coleslaw that I’m use to but, I like it and finished it. Cornbread is a little stale. But over all it’s not bad. I’ll try different dish next time.

Came to the Everett area for work and wanted some good food when I got here. One of my co-workers found this spot Googling restaurants. I am so glad that they did. I am vegetarian and they had numerous items that I was able to eat. I got the mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, fried okra, spicy rice, candied yams, dressing, and a pasta with veggies. It was all delicious! I would definitely recommend.

This very legit southern comfort food restaurant serves up flavorful eats by friendly staff. The sandwiches are big on great bread and pack lots of spice and heat but not too much! The green beans are great as are the baked beans. The strawberry pie is absolutely amazing and must have. It’s a perfect balance of sweet and richness with fresh strawberry flavor on a homemade crust. Prices are fair and parking gets tight when they’re busy.

Everything I could have hoped for in a place slinging soul food. Melt in your mouth brisket, seasoned mashed potatoes a d the owner cooks her greens and beans in turkey not ham so everyone can eat. Not heavily advertised, but she has gluten free bread for sandwiches and knows which ssides and dishes have gluten. She offered to freshly fry a catfish for me without gluten products if I wanted! Will definitely be back- friendly and genuine service, down home feeling.

Update: I finally got to try their food! I wish I hadn’t. I wish I could take more stars away. I ordered a chicken strip basket and a side of Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese didn’t show up with my order, so I didn’t even get to try that. The chicken strips were like chicken claws. Tiny, dry, gnarled… I obviously got the very end of a bag of frozen strips. The fries were a little cold but it was delivery so that’s fine, otherwise they were nothing special.

This is the dirtiest , un clean and un kept restaurant I have ever been in in my life, I called the health department because it was so unclean. I would be surprised if they have ever wiped down a counter. Food is good but seeing the state of the restaurant I would never eat there. It’s disgusting. Clean your restaurant !

I’ve been trying to order from this place for 2weeks. The website won’t let me order a drink with my $40 meal + dessert. I tried to place my order at 5pm and got a message saying that you are not taking anymore orders for the day . WS says you are open until 7?
