Great food with awesome folks. We had the fried ribs and chicken wings. For sides we had Mac and cheese, yams, greens and yellow rice. All of it was very fresh tasting and was very enjoyable.

I wanted sooooo bad to like this restaurant and I had really high hopes for it! I was excited to see a southern restaurant and what they had to offer! Then thinking that I would no longer have to travel to Sunday’s Eatery for Southern Food (unless I am cooking it myself). My coworkers and I first got it and we were thinking it was okay! All of us agreed but at that time, I would have rated it a 3.5. I got the catfish, macaroni & yams! Okay! I didn’t feel like cooking on a Sunday and opted to go here for my family- almost $60 later- my husband and I deemed it the WORST MEAL of the Year from a restaurant. He got the catfish (sway) with yellow rice and greens! He said the only decent thing was the greens! He spit out the yellow rice and played with the fish. I got pork hops (fried in old grease), macaroni and yams (I can confirm they are canned because the lady after me that ordered asked). My kids had wings and fries! I bit off the chops and knew immediately I wouldn’t like it but I proceeded and tried to force it down! I threw out 90% of the food! The young lady that assisted me is the reason for the 2 stars! She was pleasant. Would I eat here again- SOLID NO and I really wanted to support!

Me and my best friend are always willing to try and support black owned businesses, but my experience here was not the best starting with the over extended wait of 45 minutes or so for our food to be prepared and not even so much as a cup of water being offered to us, after finally receiving our food let’s just say the food was not worth the wait. The pork chops were ok at best but I’ve had better, the sides were not good at all especially the Mac and cheese, the cornbread muffin was dry and stuck inside of the paper. My friend did however say the fish was good and the strawberry cupcakes but other than that we will not be returning. There needs to be more help in the restaurant starting from the ordering process because no one wants to wait 45 minutes for food and drinks without so much as an acknowledgement to let you know why it’s taking so long. The takeout process was no better than the dine-in when you have customers walking out because it’s too slow of a process to be serviced.

Very good fried ribs and the bbq wings are amazing. It was worth the wait if you plan on going call and order ahead of time. It was about a 45 min wait but well worth it.

The best food we have had all year!!! We had to stop ourselves from eating too much! Order ahead or plan to wait 15-20 minutes because everything is made fresh… worth the wait!!!

The food was absolutely AMAZING. The owner and staff gave great customer service. They were selling little small cup cakes (3 in a pk) however, I wanted to try them all so I asked if they sell them in variety. The lady says she can make one for me. She did just that! They were delicious . The only reason I’m giving a 4 star is because of the Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is the MOST IMPORTANT part of the meal and I must say that I was disappointed in the Mac n cheese. It was store brought and not tasty at all. Because I love the food and service, I’m willing to make my Mac n cheese for this business because it deserves great Mac n cheese. I would definitely be back for those fried ribs

Definitely not my grandma’s kitchen . waste of time and money going there. Outside is so strong if weed, felt like i was in a snoop dog video. Tried to use Groupon, said they don’t take it on the weekends, tried to say it was written on the voucher. Just a disappointment
