Seemed like every restaurant was jammed in Banner Elk, so we came to Grandview Restaurant. Both my wife and got the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich. Included a side, so I got Mac & Cheese bites, she got Tatoe Tots. Everything was excellent. The service was excellent as well! Go our to go and it was packaged well! We’ve had breakfast here before which was great. Yet this is first dinner. I’d recommend. They have a camera positioned at Grandfather Mountain and come on 3 screens inside.

We picked this restaurant because the pictures showed views of the mountains from tables inside the restaurant. When we arrived, I was surprised to see the best view tables open so we headed to seat ourselves at one. We were quickly told we can’t sit there and had to go over to an area with no tables with views open. Their explanation was because the staff was sitting next to the table we wanted rolling silverware. We complied with their wishes and sat were told all the while watching staff sit at the table we’d wanted and eat. And a group of locals- could tell by the banter with staff- came in and sat once again at the table we wanted. Outdoor seating wasn’t available due to “it’s supposed to rain sometime today” but it wasn’t at that moment. In fact the sun came out while eating. The food was good. Other than the staff making themselves a priority over customers, they were friendly.

The Grandview was a last-minute decision, and I’m so glad my husband and I picked it. It was spotless, and the food was homemade to perfection. They sold plant cutting which I loved the idea! Half of my family had breakfast, and the other half had lunch. That’s my 2¢ now you decide.

Super cute and low key breakfast spot. Waitress was very nice, coffee was good, and they have fun adult bevs. I got the hash and eggs…it wasn’t a culinary adventure but was still really tasty. Future husband had eggs and pancakes. Again, nothing wildly special but still done well. We enjoyed the atmosphere and a warm home style breakfast. We would eat here again and would recommend.

Home style breakfast. Delicious. Neighborhood gem that’s been around for decades. Staff is attentive. Place gets busy at peak hours and of course weekends / holidays. And if the cloud cooperate you get a great view of Grandfather Mountain Profile.

I had a wonderful breakfast there and got my money’s worth!!! The waitress was super nice and attentive. The day before I had eaten at a more upscale restaurant for breakfast and the food was so horrendous I could not even eat it. The staff treated me with contempt… I guess because I was a single woman. However, at Grandview I was made to feel welcomed and enjoyed my time there!
