Great food. I had a burger and my wife had the meatloaf. The burger was premade but still good. She said the meatloaf was amazing. Will be back to try some of the other items. We didn’t have them but the pretzel sticks looked great!

Over all I was very disappointed with our experience. It started off to a great start they offered us a car seat holder for my little one! The wait was only 10 minutes and when we were seated the server came over only seconds later for a drink order! After that it went alittle down hill. We ordered and about 30-40 minutes later the food came out. The steak was over cooked and seasoned and the mashed potatoes taste like nothing just potatoes and some milk, green beans were the same way not even basics like salt and pepper. My husbands burger didn’t have bacon and they forgot the waffle fries. The drinks were only filed 1 time the entire 1.5 hours we were there.

I have had food catered from here before, and the food has always been really good. Unfortunately, this was my first visit to the actual restaurant. The space is beautiful, and the service was really good. Our server was very attentive in making sure that we had everything we needed.

Daniella was an amazing server! She was very attentive despite tending to multiple tables during brunch! Loved the photo/jukebox in the front btw! First timer that will definitely return. I cannot think of the Host’s name on 7/22 – shoulder length brown hair – courteous and ensured a lower table was cleaned with respect to our reservation time. Overall great experience

Not a good experience. Food wasn’t very good except the omelet station. My wife did like the peel and eat shrimp. The croissants were hard, the gravy was horrible . We had a reservation at 10:00 and got there about 9:30. Our server asked what we would like to drink and we both ordered morning cocktails. He then said that alcohol can’t be served until 10:00, so we said we would like them when when the bar open. Meanwhile, we decided to just wait until we had drinks to have our meal. (Sunday is only brunch buffet). So we sat and talked. Our server walked by once and looked down at us and could see we weren’t eating yet. So closer to 10 a large family came in 3 or 4 adults and 4 children. Same server, came and took their order. We start to see other servers bring out Bloody Mary’s at 10:00 am. Well about 10:05 the family next to us that sat down about 15 minutes after us were complaining about not having our drinks. Two of these men go up and start standing up and one yells into the kitchen. Out come the server with all the drinks for their table . Another server/manager comes by and we ask if we could please get our drinks, she responds that our server was helping another table. I said, “We have been here for 45 minutes and were here long before the other table.” She the says, Oh, really?”. Then our server comes over and asks what me need, my wife says our drinks. He then said “You’re not eating because you waiting on drinks?” My wife said ,”Yes” Mind you, he walked by us one time and looked table and saw that we were not eating, which was our decision. Then he says (in a very sarcastic manner), “Don’t get mad at me, I’m not the bartender.” He should have never said that to us, he should have said ,”I am so sorry, I will get it now.” Instead he was a smart alec with and attitude. I loved the Granite City in Peoria, this was my first time here, and I doubt I will go back. Money spent for not good food and mistreatment. No thanks!

We drove up over the past weekend from alabama. We loved the granite city We grew up with in Northern Illinois but moved to Alabama and didn’t have one locally. We were so excited to have it again after 4 years, the food was exactly like we had before and were super happy with the food. However we asked our waitress if my husband could do the wings as an entree not appetizer to which she said was totally fine. However, when I ordered my own entree she brought out 2 of them. We assumed she may have been being nice and split my entree so that he had food while I did, because she ended up bringing his wings as an appetizer anyway after we asked not to have them until I had my entree. We ended up getting the bill and she billed us for 2 of my pasta entree of which he never asked for. Resulting in a much larger bill than we prepared for. Again the food was amazing but the staff didn’t seem to have great direction.

Sarah has waited on us – every time we were passing thru the last 3 years… she defines everything that is outstanding about this restaurant. The food is excellent yet her positive engaging demeanor makes the visit all the more enjoyable. About to close- yet as usual she made it happen with a Smile!
