Stopped in for breakfast after seeing a post on FB! They were pretty busy! Kind of small but cozy inside. Staff was friendly! Food all looked great as it went by to other tables for sure! We tried the Margarita Omelette with hash browns and the country fried steak. The omelette was delicious and a good size for sure, ingredients all tasted fresh! Hash browns were ok, a bit on the greasy side, but ok. The Country Fried Steak was good, nice size portion, the country gravy was excellent! I would come here again just for the gravy! Eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash browns, again were a bit on the greasy side, I had added onions to mine which they were definitely generous with! Food came out pretty quick and HOT! You definitely get a good amount of food for the price! The only negative of the location itself is that the bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant and up a couple of stairs. They are inside the building, but the building is really 2 restaurants (1 of which is closed) with the bathrooms in between. The woman’s bathroom was extremely small and definitely far from clean! This probably will not prevent me from trying them again, I’m curious to try a few other things on their menu.

My father and I recently went to the Richmond location that just opened! Staff were so thoughtful and attentive the entire time! We always had fresh hot coffee and the waitress and hostess checked in on us very often! If you want delicious food, a friendly environment, and amazing service check this place out!

It was a decent place, but is now permanently closed. Came to Johnsburg about two years ago from their closed location in Antich, IL. For those of you who wish to continue following Lee and his restaurant around the globe, he has now opened up in Richmond, IL. Although, it’s only a few miles away, I’m done. There are places closer to me with just as good food and better. Good Luck!

Was visiting from Texas and ate here with my wife’s aunt and uncle. My wife had the eggs benedict which was delicious. I stole a bite lol and I had the banana bread french toast. That also was delicious and my wife stole her a bite as well. The service was very good and attentive.

Excellent little diner. Great staff, friendly, attentive, fast service. Food is awesome. You can’t go wrong with the kitchen sink for breakfast. Burgers are also a quality selection for lunch. I’ll definitely swing through anytime I’m in Antioch. If you’re nearby, or passing through, it’s well worth the stop to get some good eats. They have daily specials and the prices are good. Show them some love if you have the opportunity.

Have been three times so far for Breakfast and it hasn’t disappointed at all friendly quick service and the food is great! Try the pork chop breakfast so tender and seasoned well. Will take pictures next time and update the post.

Unfortunately, when we got to the restaurant, their sign was down and it looked closed. Maybe closed for the 5th of July, but there was no signage to even suggest a restaurant was there for business or any signage to say that they would be closed the day after the 4th. It’s a mystery, especially considering the most recent review was from 5 days ago. A shame, they look popular! I hope it was just a fluke and they open back up.

I had the southwest omelette and the eggs were so over cooked to the point they were crispy. They used the outside layer when chopping the onion so I had hard, tough bits of onion in my omelette as well. My son had scrambled eggs and they were also over cooked (see brown eggs in the picture). We asked for strawberries on the side instead of potatoes and they were horrible. Obviously frozen strawberries, thawed out and served but they were old or something because they were discolored. The house toast is “like a sourdough” according to the waitress but it tased nothing like sourdough. The texture was decent but the only flavor was from the butter. The pancakes were firm and tough with poor flavor. Very large portions but horrible food. I have no idea why this place was so crowded when we were there.

Cute little diner by the water. The food was alright, there was nothing special to it. The eggs were extremely dry and lacked flavor.
