The staff is super nice. I would recommend removing the carpet.. I believe the carpet makes the smell in there. They also need some “atmosphere” and some music. You can hear the conversation of every table. The food was good but we probably won’t be back. The atmosphere and smell of damp carpet is why we wouldn’t return. This restaurant has a ton of potential… the seating area needs help. The people were great.

My name is Arthur Brown, I had the honor and privilege to stop in and eat at this great place. The food was fantastic no it was great. I had fried chicken, chow chow, turnip and collard greens, mac and cheese and sweet potatoes with so fruitvtes and a piece of chess pie and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I felt like I was with family and they made me feel like I was right at home after church eating. Didn’t want to leave. You will not be disappointed. Everything is great here. I will be back. Amaaazing soul food. The chess pie was suuuuper sweet, I could barely finish eating it! I got the porkchops, mac & cheese, & mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes could totally use some salt & it was a bit too creamy for me but still delicious. I will totally recommend this place to people!

Oh my goodness, first of all, the staff was amazing! We came in at 5:45, not knowing they closed at 6 on Thursdays, but she was so welcoming and delighted to have us. The food was delicious, decent sized servings, and desserts to die for. It is a great family restaurant, run by Granny’s family and so meticulously clean! We will definitely be back. I’m so glad we tried it!!

The wife and I ate here today. The greens, mac & cheese and fried okra were 5 star !!!! The salmon and corn bread were 4 star ! The price of meals was excellent. Will definitely return if we’re ever in Mt.Juliet again
