Don’t let the 3.8 rating fool you. This place is awesome. I don’t know what it was like before but now it is absolutely delicious. I asked who cooks the food and the owner’s uncle has been cooking Chinese food for 30 years and it shows! The pepper chicken is fantastic, the rice is Fluffy, dishes are executed with obvious mastery. I recommend you come in here. I came right as it opened at 11:00 a.m. and there were already people waiting at the door when I arrived

$17.44 plus taxes =$19.00 for a small to go container w/out a drink.. this explains why the establishment only had 6 customers. The food wasn’t great at all. The fried rice was like plain white rice with pieces of onion and no taste… picture attached of the horrible food..

My soda glass sat empty for about 90% of the time duringthemeal. And considering how dry most of the food was on the buffet, a soda could come in handy to wash the meal down.

The staff is very friendly and attentive and they have a pretty decent selection of food as well as a fruit and salad bar, the atmosphere is nice and Just overall a really nice place to eat out. I would highly recommend this place!

It’s a basic Americanized Chinese buffet. I’ve eaten at around 30 different places like this in 7 states now. Food is average. I’ve had much worse and I’ve had much better at similar buffets. No labels on the food, which again is average, as about half do and half don’t.

This buffet is very clean and has one of the best locations. Right next to the Transit center. So very convenient for people who ride the bus. Very nice customer service. The food is grade A. Right in a heart of Columbia heights!!!! ☀️

I have a feeling the 3 star rating is evident of friends, family and employees reviews. Because it most certainly couldn’t be customers. The dishes (cups) are dirty. The seats tables and carpets are dingy, tattered, outdated, and provides an overall unappealing lack of ambience. Despite these red flags my family and I chose to eat here as my children were excited for a quick bite. The food has been edible in the past. Keywords ‘in the past’.

Got the buffet. Ive had some odd fried rice in my time. I prefer soy sauce sprouts scallions. Traditional. Ive come to expect yellow fried rice blasphamized with peas and carrots but this is the first time ive seen unfried fried rice. If you squint youll see a sliver of carrot.
