Very bad! The food was just very bad. The boneless spare ribs were these large chunks of meat that have a bad taste and are very difficult to chew. The sweet & sour chicken also had a bad taste. And the sesame chicken equally bad. The sweet sauce on both of the chickens had a bad taste. Either the 3 meats were leftovers reheated, or the meat company selling meats to this restaurant is giving them bad food. If that is the case, they need to find a new meat source provider. On top of that, the rice was dry and overcooked, possibly leftover from a day or 2 and reheated. I honestly havent tasted chinese white rice this bad before. Rice is suppossed to be fluffy and light, so simple. This was just really bad food in all types.

Over priced food ,I order chicken, wings and chicken fried rice it came out to be $20 .. then I called to remove the chicken fried rice because they were charging me $3 extra for chicken and she said it’s too late meanwhile I called back seconds later

Read the reviews but gave this place a chance and was very disappointed. I ordered the “Happy Family”, but it wasn’t happy at all. Yes it was full of seafood, but most of the seafood was imitation crab and some other strange looking thing. The crab was definitely fake and the beef was mealy and seemed like it was frozen and refrozen then tenderized to the point of no return. The pork and chicken were a decent consistency, but also tasted weird. The shrimp was overcooked and at this point, I was afraid to eat it. Nothing tasted fresh, not even the vegetables. Lacked flavor and just tasted “off”. I threw it all away. The Hot and Sour soup was sweet and very thick. Threw it away as well. My husband had the General Tso’s Chicken and it was mushy. The fried rice had no flavor. We will never order from here again. Anyone that likes this food has no palate. Avoid food poisoning and eat somewhere else. Total waste of money. One good thing, the delivery person was great, so the one star is for him. NOTE: Notice the response from the restaurant only mentioned the imitation crab. Clueless. What a joke.

I understand prices go up everywhere and that is the norm but I would expect the same quality but it’s gone down. I don’t order from here as much as I used to for that reason but tonight was especially bad. You pay 5 dollars for order of French fries and It’s the quarter of the size it used to be. and for some reason, soggy and lukewarm. You would think that I got there late for pick up but no, I ended up waiting for it. Beef and broccoli has like 4 pieces of beef in it which is a little ridiculous. Food is a lot greasier, pork in rice has a weird aftertaste to it. Only thing that didn’t change is the rude woman that works there who can’t even acknowledge you when you walk in. Seems pretty miserable and just rude. Mediocre food and miserable workers is not where I want to spend my money.

Ok, so the wife and I have been looking for another Chinese restaurant and found Great Wall in Dumont. Gone there twice and we haven’t been disappointed either time. I normally order General Tsos chicken, but when I saw the MANGO SHRIMP dish, so I decided to try that since I really like mangos and shrimp, but together never had it that way. I now have a new favorite Chinese dish. So, if you like mangos and you like shrimp you’ll like this. It came with LARGE chunks of tender mango and the shrimp just as good in a great sauce. AAAAAAAA+++++ .

Me and my neighbors here at 60 Cumbria Ave in Dumont order 3 combo meals last night they was very disgusting over loaded with salt and with tip I put in 15 each my neighbor,s were all grossed out as well. I has the spare rib combo I think they use cat. Lol I texted for a refund they say so sorry no recored of you here. Don’t order food it is a waste of money took hour on top. For shame

Oct, 2019: I had to change my review from 1 star to 4 stars. I tried a bunch of other Chinese restaurants, and didn’t like any of them, so I have returned to The Great Wall, and am loving it! I guess the episodes I had below were just flukes. I’m still cautious (thus the 4 versus 5 stars), but I can’t eat Chinese anywhere else! I love the food here!
