Food was amazing, most authentic Dominican cuisine in the area & in fact best I’ve had. Look forward to stopping by again asap – Kelvin is always very welcoming while going above and beyond for his customers.

The food here is delicious. I especially like the empanadas. The tostados are the best I have had! The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean. You order at the counter. There is a small seating area with a few tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your meal. I recommend Green Plantain.

Absolutely delicious. Ive had other dominican food, and even compared to most of the hispanic/latino places around here, this is definitely 1 of 2 places that taste authentic. I had La Bandera Dominicana. Clean, delicious, on point. Recomiendo mucho a este lugar, al 100%.

First off there was a bit of a wait but the wait was well worth it . The food was fresh and the taste was delicious. The Z1. Empanada are a 10 out of 10 the Z6. Chicken Fingers were also amazing and let’s not forget the Z3. Cuban Sandwich the gooey cheese and pernil that melted in your mouth . Please please please give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.

We’d love to formally introduce to you Veteran owned and operated Green Plantain, a Dominican Restaurant that wants to bring a little bit of the island to you! Kelvin and his family emigrated from the Dominican Republic and first settled down in New York City. Shortly after, Kelvin joined the military and was stationed in Fort Campbell. During his time on active duty, he constantly found himself craving food from home and was confident his peers would love it too. This sparked an idea to provide quality meals for soldiers everyday, and he began creating a business plan.

I’ve been dying to try this place out for awhile and today I finally got the chance. I had my husband go pick it up for me. I ordered fried pork with rice and beans and a side of sweet plantains. When I opened up my plate I was a bit disappointed. The portion size for what I ordered seemed skimpy. There were 4 small chunks of fried pork. The flavor was delicious and it was fried just right but I wish there was more. The rice was white rice but it was all hard and crunchy. I’m aware that people like to eat it at that way but they didn’t have it as an option. They just gave me hard rice with my order. The beans were great. I had no issues with the beans. They were very flavorful. The salad on side had dressing that taste similar to Big Mac sauce. It was good. The side of plantains were ok. I’m used to them being sweeter and fuller but that’s a personal preference. My husband ordered the Green Plantain and he enjoyed it. He said the atmosphere was nice and customer service was good. I will go back to see what else they have to offer.

I’ll be up front and truthful. It’s a brand-new Dominican restaurant. I enjoy supporting small businesses, I don’t have an issue with the food. The thing that I do not like is their portion sizes on the food. I’m sorry but they are quite little. They seemed to be being quite frugal with my to-go order. For what I spent, I felt ripped off after placing my $60 worth of food. I doubt I’ll be coming back. I’m sorry but that’s my honest review.

Stumbled on this hidden gem by accident and it’s an absolute must try!!! I had a Bistec with sweet plantain and it’s so good. My dad loved his Green Plantain burger. Will definitely come back
