This place was amazing! Service was good, good choice on draft, and food was amazing. I got the mountain bread as an appetizer and it was my favorite thing! Highly recommend. I also got the Cajun dry rub and extreme heat wings. The Cajun were absolutely delicious, another highly recommend. The extreme heat were no joke, it’s definitely made with a ghost pepper sauce, but was really good! Over all, highly recommend. Will be back

Stopped by driving through the area. My husband is very selective about his burgers and he was quite pleased with what he ordered. He commented that one thing that made it so good was the fact that it had really fresh lettuce, tomato, and onions. It’s hard to find a well done burger like that. I ordered the fish and chips which was good but I wouldn’t call it great. The fish tasted good and had a good batter. The chips were sliced thin and fried crispy. Would like to return here when I can enjoy their drinks. I love the fact that they describe ordinary drinks that people often order. It made me want to try something new after reading ingredients.

This was our first visit to Green River Tavern. After being seated, we waited more than 30 minutes before a waitress came to our table. We were then told that it was an hour wait for food because of “the rush.” What rush? The place was 2/3 empty! So we just ordered a couple of beers. Even that took 20 minutes. Then they charged the amount for a different party to my credit card. An appearance from the manager with an explanation for the problems and an apology would have gone a long way but that didn’t happen. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. We’ll never know because we won’t be back.

service was slow, food made us sick and the bill was incorrect. The waitress and the chef were nice to fix the bill and take care of the situation. The owner is a different story. Be aware.

I was shocked when they.charged me $2.50 for a glass of water today. They used to provide it for free but now they charge as much as a soft drink. Hamburger was overcooked to well well done when I ordered medium rare. Bun was burned black. Bad food but service was good.

We found this trying to get to lake lure to go to one of my favorite places. We was rerouted from backroads to interstate. Got off the Columbus exit and turned in at the 1st place that looked interesting. It definitely was the food this is the 3rd time in 2 days I ordered the same thing. Out of the 3 this was hands down the best meal! Omg and let me not leave out the sweet potato fries and they mouth smacking delicious with honey as on of the sides. I think her name was Madison that suggested it. Thank you Madison. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and they had specials they were sold out of. So u know know that’s a good sign. I had the chicken breast with mushrooms and peppers with a salad. My boo had a cheese burger and it was delicious. We always try each others food. They have different specials during the week I think Friday is steak night. They had a gentleman singing outside and he was good! They told me about a car club sometimes in August will be back!!

We decided to stop here for a snack but had a nice meal instead after recommendations from Chelsea and a patron. Chelsea suggested Dave’s chicken dish, which wasn’t on the menu, but it was her favorite, so I went for it. It was a perfectly seasoned chicken breast, nice and thin, with a layer of cheese, plus sauted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. That chicken was fabulous, so tender and juicy. Total yum! My honey got a mushroom swiss burger which he loved as well. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service was fast and friendly. The food and drinks came out quickly too. The karaoke was a bit loud so we sat away from that side and enjoyed meeting some great people.

We stopped in here for some drinks and a snack. Nice place, with a good easy going atmosphere. The drinks where made perfect. I like a heavy pour. The food was really delicious. They had a DJ, and some pool tables for entertainment. Didn’t expect much on a Wednesday night. But this place was the spot. Will stop by again, and recommend to others.
