It was good food overall, and not what I expected! The service was good, it is sit down table service. The portions are small and well over priced. By the time the 18% gratuity hits, and credit card use fee, it turns a really regular dinner into a really expensive experience.

Grill Time Express is a very mixed, kosher middle eastern restaurant in Great Neck. The baby chicken shawarma is my favorite dish but everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. The steaks are delicious and the side salads are nice as well. A little pricey but it’s well worth it if you are looking for a quick bite to eat or would like to sit down for a meal.

I don’t like posting bad reviews, but this place deserves one. Service was atrocious and they took forever to tend to my girlfriend and I. I felt like we were completely ignored and even getting their attention for the check was a chore. I don’t like to blame things on race, but as a black person, it seems we aren’t and weren’t welcomed at this establishment.

Ordered a large chummus on Uber Eats. Asked for a couple of extra pita and even paid for an extra one. They only sent one pita for a whole large (not small) Chumus. Very disappointed.

First time I went here, it was near the height of the pandemic (when you had to cross the LI border just to get outdoor dining). Food was good, as was the service. Almost a year later, things seem to have taken a turn. My Schnitzel Burger and fries were fine, but my girlfriend’s chicken was dry. I also don’t remember them charging a credit card fee (I get why restaurants do this, but it’s still irritating and counter-productive in the longterm.) The most galling thing though was that this restaurant helped THEMSELVES to a 15% gratuity! In all my years, I’ve never seen a business charge an automatic tip. I think I would’ve been well within my right to complain, but I didn’t want to make a scene or appear cheap. Also, business owners: Please stop playing Fox News on your TVs; unless you want to alienate a huge chunk of your customer base. Thank you.

This place is really good with a good service and tastes okay. All the platters were tasty with two sides which were well prepared too. One thing that I would suggest it do not order the Jerusalem platter, its the most expensive food there and the portion is insanely small for the money you pay and u don’t get sides for that dish. Other than that a one time visit

Went to this restaurant for dinner for a party of 7 and we were told “No” by a very rude blond waitress. It is better to eat TRAIF than eat at Grill Time with a waitress with that attitude!
