We were staying for a month at the campground down the street and a friend recommended this place. Their claim to fame is “the best burger on the highway” but I disagree. It was the best burger in the area, Spartanburg included. It was a nice thick burger on a soft bun. Onion rings and fries were also fantastic. We visited several times in the month and each time we both got the burger, we thought about trying something else, but the burger was so good we couldn’t not get it! Service was good as well. Will definitely return when back in the area!

Move over Beacon…Grille 221 is the place for burgers and fries. Thick patties, hand-cut fries, and generous portions for the price. Local dive that will leave you satisfied !

I recently stopped in for lunch while coming through the area. The service was wonderful and was met with a smile. I ordered the hand patted cheeseburger plate with fresh cut fries and slaw. Price came to $10.57 which I consider a lil high but the food was good. I would come back and eat again.

Extremely kind staff, a nice little local spot with some decent food. My favorite thing is the patio area where you can eat with your pup and watch as the staff spoil your puppy to no end, haha. However, the inconsistent times of being open every once in a while keep it from being 5 stars.

Wow! Possibly the best burger I ever had! Huge and perfectly cooked with all the toppings you could ask for, and then some. Little diner atmosphere… friendly and efficient waitstaff. Only couple miles off the interstate (I-26).
