Huge portions and delicious. Too good to be true? That’s what I would have said before today. I loved my Loco Moco and my wife loved her garlic shrimp. And I nearly(?) embarrassed myself gawking at what I saw on other people’s tables. I kid you not, if you love this kind of Hawaiian cuisine you will love this place. Great ice cream, coffee and other tasty diversions nearby too on this cute little stretch of town.

A great Hawaiian spot with food that tastes as good as it looks. Definitely consider giving it a try. We had heard so much about the nachos so we had to get them and the Salmon Katsu special was an amazing surprise.Don’t let the prices throw you off. You will be getting 2 or 3 meals worth of food.

This place is a little unknown gem. If you haven’t tried Hawaiian food this place is a good place to start. It’s a little heavy and rich so you may not even finish your plate, I gave it 4 stars because the place was a little cluttered and not so clean. The staff were very nice though.

Worth the wait! Their meat jun was BOMB, the best I’ve ever had on the mainland. Got it combo with the chicken katsu dynamite style, which was also amazing! The portions are huge too. Awesome food!

This place is great, loved the food and the portion size is crazy big, they used a rubber band to close my dish. I got the 3 meat combo with Ono chicken so good double fried with a bit of sweetness. I got the honey walnut shrimp and the meat Jun which I’ve never had before and am so glad I tried. Mac salad and rice are on point as well. Smaller neighborhood joint so it will be crowded but wait wasn’t too long and even if it was the food is well worth it. Staff was super friendly as well. All the stars for phenomenal food.

I had high hopes for this place seeing as how much people gas it up, but unfortunately my honey walnut shrimp was pretty mediocre. I found the sauce WAY too sweet, and my plate had a large number of empty batter chunks that were still gooey inside. The shrimp were plump and cooked well, but not for the price. The mac salad was the best part. My roomie got the ahi katsu and it was dry and overcooked. He also liked the mac salad. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be ordering here again, not at that price and a 30 minute wait for food.

Visiting Portland for the weekend and my sister saw a video of someone eating here so we decided to make this one of our stops. At first I thought the prices were too high until we got our food. The portions were very nice price wise. And the food was AMAZING. Definitely worthy of the islands.

If you love Hawaiian foods, you can check this place out. But, you’ll have to expect to stand in line. It’s very popular. The line starts before it even opens. They have tables, but they are so busy you’ll either grind a seat or take your food home. Delicious‼️
