We have attempted to eat here 5 times and every single time we get the same waiter and end up regretting coming. The waiter we always get seems to forget about us every single time we eat there. If you sit in the front room, you will be forgotten. Every single time we go we get chips and salsa almost immediately and then the wait begins. We will sit there at least ten minutes before he comes to get our drink order and then he literally never comes back and we have to ask other staff members to get him so that we can order. After we order we will once again NEVER see him again, someone else will bring out the food and he doesn’t even come to see if we need anything or if the food is correct. This time he gave us the wrong drinks and we told him and he brings us back the exact same drink…Then one of our orders was wrong and my burrito had a huge bone in it that I almost choked on, thank god one of my children didn’t get it…at this point we all stopped eating and left.

We’ve tried every other Mexican restaurant in Jefferson and honestly think this might be the best restaurant in Jefferson. The service is always super friendly, the food always comes out very quickly, never had anything to complain about really at all. I hope this restaurant sticks around as I live quite close to it.

We waited longer for someone to take our drink order then a table. After we were seated and chips and salsa were brought it was over 10 minutes and still nobody came to get our drink order. They weren’t even that busy and there were at least 5 people working in the area. What makes it worse is the manager was taking the couple beside us order and still didn’t ask if we had ordered drinks or food. We got up and left and I feel like the manager and the people up front didn’t really care. We drove 15 to 20 minutes to El Centinela and after being seated within a couple of minutes had our drink order. The food came quick there and was delicious. Well worth the drive. I wil not give Gringos my business anymore as this is not the first time I have had problems there.

The waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was brought out very quickly and was so good and fresh!! highly recommend as i have never had any issues here, I have even ordered takeout here several times and it was good as well.

When we first got there. They took us to our table and just gave my wife and I one menu. They took forever to get our drink order. Then we had to flag them down to get our food order. They seem to be disorganized. The food was bland. The decor was not pleasing. They seem to cater to certain people. We will not go back.

Used to be my go to place in town. Now? Not a chance. They jacked their prices up but the quality and portions are way down. The salsa is still top notch though. Chicken is dry, rice is flavorless. Try El Jiente or the one by the feed store.
