I could have sworn my mother or one of my aunts was back there cooking. So nice to have some good old down home Southern country cooking. Dressing, fried chicken, beef tips, cream corn, fresh peas of several kinds, cornbread, ham, macaroni and cheese and I don’t know how many other things I forgot. Nice salad bar, even banana pudding. Buffet all you can eat on Sunday at $13.50 how the heck could you beat that?

The people were wonderful. The food was good. The sweet tea was among the best I’ve ever had. We are cycling cross country to promote saveawarrior.org and this food was filling and the conversation fulfilling.

Takes you back to the good old days of buffet style serving fantastic food. Everything was fresh and delicious. I’m thinking about moving to Cairo for the opportunity to eat here more often. Service was outstanding!

We love to eat here, it’s a. Small Town Mom and Dad restaurant with all of the trimmings. The food is Fresh and Delicious. I’ve yet to be disappointed by a meal from here. Thank you to all the staff the owners.

Hidden gem! Great southern cooking and a buffet to boot! Catfish, fried chicken, lima beans, collard greens, sweet potato casserole and much much more. Friendly and attentive staff. Well worth the price.

Small cafe with southern cooking buffet. Most everything we ate seemed to be fresh not canned. Good selection of food, drink and dessert for one price.

We don’t eat enough vegetables and this place has plenty. This was our first time here since the pandemic lockdown. The food was all good, a salad bar, lots of vegetables, grilled and fried chicken and fried fish. Tea or water to drink, I guess there are soft drinks but I didn’t ask. Service was quick, we soon had a drink. Since this is cafeteria style, we didn’t have to wait for food. Atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. The tables are long and the aisles are narrow, not many places to sit and not have others at the same table. I really don’t care for the chairs, they are cloth and the top just looks dirty after years of use. One Sunday we sat on a patio that was much more pleasant. The biggest surprise here was checking out. I asked my wife how much it was and she guessed seven or eight dollars. She missed it by half, the bill for two was $29.98. There was banana pudding on the salad bar but it was almost gone. If I had known the bill was this much I would have asked for a fresh tray.

Food has been really good lately and line out the door moves pretty quick. Recommend getting there when they open.
