Ordered the chicken wings with Mac and cheese and collard greens to go. It was three three piece chicken wings with two small sides. It was slammed busy. The staff were very attentive and managed to care for everyone in a timely manner. The food was good. I especially loved the sweet butter biscuit. The portion sizes for the price point were small. The wings were pretty greasy. The sweet spicy sauce was served on the side. Overall. It was good, just not wallet friendly.

The atmosphere is awesome. Nice music and vibe. The biscuit was great, as were the grits. The oxtail isn’t on the menu, but you can order it. My fiancé said it was okay but not very tender. The salmon croquettes were fried a bit too hard. Our waitress was the bartender and was a little slow. The drinks were maybe a little too good.

I noticed Gritz while in the area visiting another establishment. So, I decided to bring my son here for his 25th birthday brunch. It was ok. They don’t take reservations or call aheads, but the wait wasn’t bad. 15 minutes tops, but we went early. The atmosphere was laid back. There were a couple of things I noticed – good or bad. They had Family Feud on the television while the DJ was setting up. The music is loud so don’t expect to have intimate conversations. The drinks were good and the bartender was heavy handed. I loved their lemon drops!! But the food, which is why we came, was just ok. I liked mine the most. If I were just reviewing the seafood omelette (I added potatoes – which were well seasoned and tasty), I’d give it a solid 4. My son ordered the chicken and waffles and said it was bland. His girlfriend and my husband ordered the croquettes and had different reviews. She liked the flavor and seasoning. My husband said his were a little too salty. Everyone that ordered the grits enjoyed them. The biscuits had potential but would have been better had they been warm. Overall, I’m glad we had the experience, I just wouldn’t travel 50 mins to revisit again.

I loved everything about this place! The food was on point. We had the fried salmon and grits and the salmon croquettes and grits…and man, tasty was an understatement. The drinks had you feeling them. Then the dj was lit!!!! I highly recommend it.

I recently met a friend for brunch at Gritz! We had an awesome time and loved the vibe! The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The service was great and efficient despite a busy weekend crowd! I will definitely return and highly recommend.

It’s a no for me. The waitress was pleasant, but our lunch on a slow Thur took right at an hour to get our food. When it arrived it was barely warm and my biscuit was raw inside. The food was blah…..mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. We both took a few bites and that was enough for us. The table beside us also didn’t eat their lunch. It’s just not good…

They have a great location and our server was fantastic, but other than that i would not recommend. My mom and I visited on a Thursday afternoon. So not too busy. The prices felt alittle high but was hoping that would reflect in the food quality. Not so much. Our food took about an hour to arrive and everything was almost cold. I ordered the spaghetti and fish and my mom shrimp and grits. The shrimp was good and my said the grits were ok. The fish and spaghetti was lacking. The fish was lacking any flavor or seasoning and the spaghetti felt like I was getting an old school lunch. The meals came with a honey biscuit which were raw in the middle. We questioned if we were too picky but when the lady came to the table beside us after the party left she literally asked ” are they still here.” Because they both took one or 2 bites out of there meal

Just left here about an hour ago and had to leave a review.. I got the chicken & red velvet waffles with cheese grits. YALL.. Seriously, the BEST red velvet waffle EVER and the cheese grits were delicious as well. Omg!! Literally a 10/10. The music was good (no live DJ) and it was empty.. I hear this place gets really packed. JUST GO!! You won’t be disappointed.

Shrimp and Grits was delicious. Great portion size and came with a honeyed biscuit. My 2 year old loved all of it. Music indoor wasn’t too loud and service was quick.
