I saw a post about Groundwork Kitchen so I decided to go while I was in the area. I got there 10mina before the dining room opened so I waited on the carry-out side. The service was great. I spoke with a young lady who made sure the dining side knew I was waiting and she also ended up being my waitress. I ordered the crispy cauliflower (app), vegan chicken sandwich w/fries (entree) and the blackberry cobbler (dessert). The cauliflower bites did come out cold but theyade me some fresh ones which were good. The portion sizes are enormous. The dessert was enough for 3 and the app is definitely shareable. I absolutely love the mission of Paul’s Place and will support any endeavor they have. Great job with Groundwork Kitchen. I will be back to try more dishes.

We had the best time at Groundwork Kitchen! The food blew us away with the amazing flavors. Our favorite items were the pork belly, the crispy cauliflower and don’t even get me started on the cobbler!! Highly recommend everything was amazing

Kimmarie and Tamara were excellent. They told us their back story on attending free culinary school through a program initiative by the owner. They were very pleasant and offered us a tour. The food was well plated and tasty. We enjoyed the crispy Brussels, cauliflower, and crab cake. The salad that came with the crab cake was excellent .

The restaurant has a casual ambiance and nice uptempo background music. You get complimentary chips and queso. We tried several items from the menu. For cocktails we ordered the Rum Punch and the Fine Swine. Both drinks were flavorful and refreshing but not as strong as we’d like. For appetizers we ordered the short rib egg rolls, which came with a large portion and were our favorite item of the meal. We also tried the crab Rangoon nachos. They were good too. For dinner, we had the NY strip and the grilled Bronzino. They were good but not necessarily anything we’d order again. And for dessert we had the mixed berry cobbler. The presentation was so amazing that we didn’t take a picture and it tasted exquisitely delicious. In fact, we would come back just for that dessert! Lol Definitely the star of our meal!

Literally some of the BEST food I’ve had in Baltimore. The flavors are INSANE and out of this world They had me when they brought chips and cheese dip for the table …seriously mouthwatering. We got the egg rolls, crab Rangoon nachos, and sticky pork belly. We couldn’t even pick our favorite…THAT’S how good they all were. And a great added plus is the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful! We cannot wait to come back!

I stopped this morning before my commute since their cafe is now opened, I wanted to check it out. I had the B’MORE Big Bac’n and the GWK Crispy Hash browns; they did not disappoint. The sandwich is big and really well balanced. The hash browns are out of this world, they are so crispy and not greasy at all and whatever spices they’re using is really good. I also had the mocha latte, is was creamy and rich, not too sweet just how I like it! (They have black acres coffee, local Baltimore roasters) They also have caramel and oat substitute. This place is a great addition to the pig town neighborhood and will be stopping by again. The staff is so friendly and they told me about the story behind Groundwork, I love this place and will be returning when they open their full restaurant next year.

Open currently 5 days a week for carryout M-F 7a-1p. The food is very good and I love all of the baked goods! Some weeks they change it up so you have a lot of options to choose from. Their brownies, cookies and pastries have all been fantastic. Pictured is their city garden breakfast sandwich. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Excited for the restaurant to open!
